why doesnt Riot perma chat restict toxic players and perma ban trolls instead of both

if someone is toxic then they should just get perma chat restriction and if they decide to troll or soft int to retaliate then they get hit with a ban. i think this is a much more fair system then what we have now. also cases of trolling should looked at more closely like the tribunal since dealing with toxicity could be dealt with more easily with this system.

Riot tried perma chat bans in the past. It didnt' work, and ultimately resulted in those people resorting to trolling to throw their manbaby tantrums.

They decided instead to skip the manbaby troll tantrums and permaban them instead, since that was the end result anyway.

Perma-mutes were already tried and most people with them just switched to other means of abusing and harassing their teammates, such as inting and trolling. Riot doesn't want people to just switch to a new form of griefing, they want them to stop griefing period. If they won't do that then they can get lost.

I think Riot doesnt want to give perma CR-s because they did it in the past and apparently people started to troll. Although it's fair in theory, the outcome would be that the amount of trolls would increase. But I do agree that Riot should implement some other methouds to deal with gameplay toxicity (griefing, inting..).

I wouldn't want to play with a player that literally could not communicate to me. If he's so toxic he cannot be trusted to speak at all, I'd rather he simply not be in my games.

Takes a shot

Because it would be a logical system. And Rito is not famous about its logic :D

Because they know it's people like you who are on the boards begging for perma chat restrictions because you legitimately cannot control yourself in game from flaming completely innocent people because they didn't perform to your standards.

Knock it off.

Riot accidentally admitting they can't/won't do anything about negative game play. "Harder to detect." AKA not smart enough.
