Does reporting do anything at this point?

I feel like reporting feeders at this point is worthless. Riot doesn't do anything about them since there are so many with the mind set of "If I die once im feeding." I feel like instant feedback is worthless because reporting feels like it requires all other 9 players to report and NO ONE reports a feeder when they win. Why report that feeder if it made winning easier? Why isn't there a system that punishes feeders? Reporting requires players to actively report them, everyone i've played with doesn't report feeders and just leave the endgame lobby to get in line for que. So if reporting requires community input and no one reports feeders how do you prevent that mind set? I'm tired of playing a game and then a lane dies once and then goes full tilt and feeds all game long. It's happened 5/10 games for me and yes I am in bronze league and i understand that it happens more often there but can Riot do anything about it?

People banned for intentional feeding don't tend to come to the forums to try and refute their ban, because it's obvious what they did wrong and they can't really claim that they didn't know any better.

But they do happen and sometimes they do come to the forum.

Thats the main problem though. If people dont report Riot/the system cannot know to ban this person. People with a mindset like that (Reporting does nothing so i wont use it) are basically letting the people who do break the rules walk away free. All it takes is one person's report to get the account under review. Plus you seem to forget this is one of, if not THE most online game. Millions upon millions of account, possibly the same amount of numbers of matches played from various queues/modes being played daily. Things like this takes time. You dont want to ban someone who was playing badly when people accused them of feeding, nor do you want to ban someone who plays off-meta when people report them for trolling.

Its not always black and white when it comes to punishments like this and because of that it takes times. People who troll will do it in a creative way so that the system cannot catch them until its too late, People who feed will probably use the "Its just a bad game". Its hard to justify if they are telling the truth. You would need to be able to watch the full game as well as other games this person plays to see their intentions. That again takes time. But first and foremost we need to start using the Report button. But also using the detail section as well. Write out what they are doing that you feel are breaking the rules. The only way Riot can improve the system is if we the community start using the tools they set up for us!

nope reporting people who tell you to kill yourself and threaten your family doesn't results in a ban so i doubt the feeder will even get looked at.

It doesn't.

I've put out hundreds of reports this season and Riot said that the report weight is gone.

Not a single message of someone being punished since the Yorick rework despite me reporting multiple people per game.

So the odds are something like 1/500.

the feeder can only get permabanned if they run under enemy turrets. anything else is very grey and unlikely

With the amount of people I see being toxic the system is not working. I would actually pay $$ to play in a nontoxic LOL
