I need help. (Serious)

So, I've been playing League off and on since mid Season 3. I love this game, it is honestly one of the best games I've ever played. I play it at least once a day. I can't overcome one problem though and I need help. I need advice with dealing with tilt. Every time I go into a match I see someone do something or say something, not even directly at me, and it gets me so frustrated. I try my best not to type back or just mute them. I've been in low priority queue several times do this issue. How can I overcome the urge to type back and really improve my play? I feel like it's really holding me back in enjoying this game. To anyone I've ever been toxic towards or might've noticed that I had been toxic, I do apologize. I play this game a lot, and I would hate to get banned because of this, any and all advice would be greatly appreciated

;TLDR; What are some ways to avoid toxicity? How can I manage it?

;EDIT; Thank you guys so much for the advice, I didn't even know you could just mute everyone like that. I'll have to try resizing the chat as well. I appreciate all the advice, hopefully it really helps with this.

Go to Sounds Options and turn Ping volume down. I set it to somewhere between 0 and 5. Go to interface (I think it is in there..) and change your chat window to the smallest size. Also turn All Chat off. If someone on your team says anything you don't agree with, say out loud, not in game, "What a fucking retard." Proceed to mute this person before they can possibly say anything else.

Bit of an update, I just played a game as Diana in the mid lane. I am not too confident on Diana but I'm trying to learn her. Anyway, I did /mute all at the start of the game and played with music. I've never been calmer in a match before. Thank you guys so much for telling me about that.

/Mute all

Start of every game. It reduces your tilt and frustration from not having to read toxic crap.

Your last placement was bronze. I don't wanna speculate how much you improved but you definitely did not reach a level where you play perfectly every game. Try to focus more on your mistakes instead of what your team does wrong

You also have to realize that you're not the team captain. You can't make anyone on your team play better, and you can't tell them what and how they have to play. Just mentioning their mistakes in chat is gonna make them play worse.

How can I overcome the urge to type back and really improve my play?

If you mute everyone at the start of the game there is nothing to type back to. But I also think that you're the first to start typing when someone misplays.

Just ignore chat completely. Scale it down to a minimum, play some music in the background and only focus on yourself.

You better get used to someone telling you that you did something wrong, in a bad way or good way. You need to grow that thick skin sooner than later. People will tell you that, all the time in your life. Your professors will tell you that in college, your parents will tell you that, your boss, oh yeah, that dipshit boss will tell you that. You can't rage back to everyone who tells you (either pleasantly or unpleasantly) that you did something wrong or that you are incompetent. You gotta learn how to keep calm, in this game as well as in life. The worst that can happen here is that you will lose your account, the worst that can happen in life is that you will get in jail if you cross the line. Don't mute anyone or avoid the salt from others. Just get used to it.
