Players responses to ally/enemy Champion Mastery Points

Hello i would like to report an issue i have been having with the champion mastery points and the fact they are now displayed at loadup screen. I personally see this as a negative. I have a favorite champ (lux), so i have close to 2 million, but nothing positive comes from this. I get nothing but bullying and name-calling every time a player sees this. I do not know what this offers, and enemy players even can see the points too. They target me more just to be mean and prove a point. The points honestly are not a measure of skill, but people perceive it that way and call me loser and that i have no life. I dont play more often than the standard player. The top 3 players with highest mastery points on lux is a bronze, silver and an unranked so this measurement tool does not really reflect skill at all..

I strongly propose removing this from loading display.

People were toxic about mastery before this was implemented. You had a bad game with you're main, people said shit like "lol how are you M7", among other things. The only thing that really makes it worse is the fact that now they have a number to poke you with, but even then its not that bad.

Fuck, people give me shit about my over 740k on Jhin I just tell them I'm in the same club as someone with over 2 million on him(which I am). Shuts them up real quick. That and the mute button.

It lets your opponent know that you are about to have them for dinner.

It lets your opponent know that you are about to have them for dinner.

It doesnt let the opponents know that im having them for dinner. as stated in my original post , the folks with most cp points on the champs are not necessarily good. You can look them up, a lot of them are just bronze, some silver and unraked people. It is not actually a measure of skill at all

Well in Plat I see it as someone who knows their champ and give them a little respect before I figure out how they play. People still bug each other here for having a lot of mastery points but its really not a big deal at all. You're just easily offended.

They're right, though. You shouldn't be taking offense to mastering a champion/playing a champion a lot. You should be proud of it and show them why they shouldn't fuck with you. I don't even have over a million mastery on Jhin and people's comments on my mastery don't bother me, because I know they're just trying to get into my head so that I mess up and don't get fed and one shot them late game.

You are missing the point. You have the wrong frame of mind. If you have 2 million mastery points in silver and you are going up against another silver player with 50,000 XP on their champion, you are obviously advantaged with your champion's mechanics.

Seems like you are saying the bronze player with 5 mill xp points on lux will have an advantage on my 1.5 mill leblanc and im a gold player. i dont think she will beat me or have any advantage at all. That example is real by the way.. the highest xp holder on lux is bronze, i just explained that in my first comment. it does not take 3 years to master a champ, the pro lux players can crush anyone and they do not have as much xp points nor anywhere near those amounts. The xp points is simply a measure of how much you played with the champ that is all. It is not a measure of skill whatsoever. My point is why display it at loadup screen when it offers nothing and only leads to negativity if anything.

It might take 3 years to master a champion depend on the players circumstances and time availability and commitment.

But you did explain that through silver against silver, with xp difference. I just explained why it doesnt make sense through an actual example. Lets review your second sentence. Toxic people will be toxic regardless of what you give them.

All I said was a silver player with 1 million XP on a champ is going to be advantaged over another silver player 50,000 XP, obviously.

I didn't write that in a foreign language or C++ code. I wrote just like how you read above.

Just ignore the comments or start killing everyone that comes into your lane if it bothers you. You have the experience and the muscle memory good mechanics that many games. Make them cry. You shouldn't crying, they should be.

Most of my games are good when I play my main Tahm Kench after his changes it doesn't matter because I have the muscle memory. I may not be able to play enough to carry out of where ever I am, but I know I'm good with my champ and stupid comments aren't going to get me down. I've never had anyone call me out or focus me in game for having 750K XP

I don't see a reason why the option to see their mastery points is there to begin with (personally it doesn't show skill in the champ... It just shows that they play a champ a lot. There's a difference) but I also don't see the issue in seeing it either.

If you really are having a problem with people bothering you try being funny, even if the jokes are at your own expense. You'd be surprised how your team will get behind you. It's happened to me plenty and I've done it for others. You are only one person in a team of 5 people. Make their game with you stand out.
