A TIP TO AFKERS

Here’s a trick I use so I don’t have to afk. If you’re still under the influence of your parents, ask them before a game “do I have an hour [to play league].” This way, you know wether or not you have time for a league game. You could ask for an hour and a half to be really safe. If you’re playing a game mode like ascension, then you can ask for half an hour, as the game length is shorter. This is a trick I use. Show me your suggestions.

Dunno who's downvoting this, this is a basic courtesy that folks under their parents' roof should show to people they're playing with. It's also just good manners for your parents, too. I doubt mom and dad enjoy screaming upstairs or downstairs multiple times to get your attention without knowing that you're mid-game.

I raided in WoW a lot during high school, and had an understanding with my parents. There were simply times during the day where they agreed not to mess with my gaming, versus times of the day where I was available for chores, meals, talks, etc. It made life so much easier for everybody involved. Good parents aren't interested in fucking up your fun for no reason, so take control and reach an understanding.

Or, alternatively, play at off-hours when your parents aren't around or awake.

Have an upvote, for common sense.

If I have somewhere I need to be in 45 minutes, I'm not going to start a leage match

It's annoying when you get into a match and someone says, "Hey guys, my mom says I need to eat in 20 minutes so can we make this quick?"

Don't get me wrong, there are valid reasons to AFK - like when my 6yo daughter walked into the room crying and bleeding because she stepped on a shard of glass - but in general just don't make a habit of it.
