I get it, everyone has their spark of toxicity.

But in almost the biggest game in the world, played by different in real life people with their own problems and reasons for the toxic stuff they may say. Why in Davy Jones Locker, did you remove 3 day Suspensions for only 1 or 2 games of toxicity. Yes, my punishment was deserved, and i'm sorry for the thing that I said to the people that I hurt, and i won't use the excuse "everyone has bad days" because i know i could've just not said anything. But i'm concerned on why people go from, a few chat restrictions, a ton of chat restrictions, 14 - Day Ban. That's silly. You just straight up got to the point, i get it. But a ban in general is more then enough of a reason to straighten up. Instant 14 - Ban for 3 games of toxicity over a span of weeks? That seems normal to me. In a game with so much "troll potentional AKA intentionally feeding, wasting minutes or even hours of serious hardcore gameplay and trying only to have one or 2 people ruin it with emotion, isn't fun.

Consider the two periods of chat restrictions as warnings. If you don't get it after two chat restrictions, the 14-day ban is the last-chance kick in the pants to right your behavior. Riot used to have a longer process with more short bans before major ones, but they found that once people got to the first ban stage, if they didn't correct themselves after that, they generally never got better. It was very uncommon for players to reform after that point. And having 3, 7, and 14-day bans before the permaban was only prolonging the amount of time an unwanted player would be sticking around to ruin games.

I should also note that it takes more than "a couple bad games" to even get the first chat restriction. Even a couple bad games in a row won't do it. You might only get 2 games of chat logs in the punishment notice, but there were more games involved in creating the case against you to begin with than just those two.

I may be misremembering the statistics, but it is something like: 97% of players reform after their first punishment (which includes a chat restriction). Of those that don't, a large number (I can't remember this one) don't reform after multiple 14 day bans.

So if you don't change after the two chat restrictions, there is a good chance that you won't reform, however many opportunities you are given.

Adding to this, many people just play on a smurf if they have been temporarily banned for a short amount of time - the ban means very little to them. Three day bans are therefore "wasted" on the vast majority of people, and just gives them another opportunity to be toxic.

On the subject, if you got the 10 game chat restriction and the 25 game chat restriction it suggests that you are being consistently toxic (even if only mildly). It isn't just one or two games.

I hope you reform and that I see you later on the rift - if you move to Europe and I get a lot, lot better at the game :P

I just mute my chat every game and ping like crazy.

If I didn't do this, my account would be perma banned for sure.

People need to start performing and stop getting their feelings hurt. I see nothing wrong with honesty.
