Getting Rank Flamed After A Normal Draft Game.

To preface this, I am Bronze. I genuinely feel as though I play like at least S3 though, but I just don't dump enough games into ranked because I prefer playing norms. I hold a 60.7% WR through 56 games, and average about 27 LP per win and -11 per loss, so I think there is some truth to my assertion that I don't actually play like a bronze player. If you want to look up my Soloqueue records on leagueofgraphs.com or whatever feel free to do so. I recently played a draft norm where I got autofilled into my worst role; jungling, and it showed. I got counter jungled hard by a Nunu and it wasn't helping that none of my lanes had priority. My top was Kayle into Jax, Mid was Yasuo into Fizz, and I don't care enough to recall what the bot lane was. Anyways as soon as I had a camp stolen from me and the Nunu said in all chat "thanks for the buff" I just muted him. We lost the game and in the post game chat the summoner playing Nunu spammed "lol trash jg" among other things. I tried to explain I got autofilled and that he was Gold 3 and the average rank of that game was like Silver 2 (I'm used to playing with people that are ranked higher than me in norms) or something and I was just in game with higher rated players, but he just flamed more so I left. He then added me and flamed my rank. I legit said "i dont appreciate the bm, just win with grace" and then he started calling me 'bronzie scum.' I asked for advice on how to play jg better but he just kept spamming "bronze lol". I'm rather upset by this and I think it is part of the reason I don't play ranked as much as I could. Anyways I just want to know if people have any thoughts on the matter. I just don't get why people bring rank into normal games. They are entirely different queues...

Its the same for me, being diamond. Dont worry about it and ignore it, if a toxic player adds you after game, decline it. If they keep on adding you.. accept it :] then block them. Those types of players are just mentally broken players looking for something to pick on. Dont think they are better than you- They arent.

I am diamond on one role and one champ, but i play norms with friends for fun on random champs. Well watch me die or lose and people will call me boosted and ask how much my account was.

I dont play often, but i usually play everyday and if you want you can add me and we can have a couple of games and i could give you a few pointers.

He needs to stroke his own ego I guess, probably becasue hes gold and wants to show hes the best player in the game or something. Though gold is not much of a challange and I would ignore players who say stuff like that and only really take good advice from people who are diamond or above. That is only if they are giving actualy advice and not being toxic becasue they, if you can believe it, are also just as toxic or rude as everyone else in other elo's.

If you want some jungle advice a small tip is to look up youtube vids and also shaco is a bit broken right now, may take a few games to get the hang of but over all hes not massivly difficult to play. Otherwise If you dont get jungle very often and dont care much to learn it something simple like amumu or warwick are good starters.

Omit all of this, it doesnt matter. Sure there are statistics, but just because you're in a certain elo doesnt mean you play at that elo. Which is the point you're trying to make. The problem is, the opposite is also true. Just because you're at an elo doesnt mean you play at the level of that elo. Players who are not at the skill level of elos are climbing off of just piggybacking. Now im not here to put anyone down im saying the quality of the players on average in mid tier elos is much lower than the past.

"I'm rather upset by this and I think it is part of the reason I don't play ranked as much as I could. " In ranked you wouldnt be paired against players with a much higher rank than you because Elo which is your rank and MMR which is your "normals rank" for lack of better words.

If it makes you feel better the only reason he probably did it to you is someone who crushed him did it to him prior. So you can rest easy that he felt just as bad and was doing it to make himself feel better. I dont like when people say "i play at a insert rank level" because its attempting to undermine all the people who got to that rank. If you want to say you're a silver 3 player for example, well rank up and get to silver 3. Everyone has good games, everyone has bad games, If i sat here right now and said "well i play at a master level" and lets say i had like 60% winrate in plat. Does that mean im better than diamond players or that you shouldnt lump me in with other plat players? What you basically chose to do was put yourself above your rank which you dont want to play the games to get out of. If you dont want to be insert rank player then play and get out of that rank, if you dont want to put in the time and effort to get out of it, then dont be insulted by that rank.

Rank flamers are probably just boosted or bought accounts anyway. It is irrelevant. No one knows if that is your only account or your primary account and rank does not mean much for a lot of ELOs.
