Why do people ask for Pentas?

It's not earned if they feed it. Why would you even ask?

[sg-miss-fortune] I'm not screwing up my 5/2/19 ( at the mid game ) and being unable to defend my base because of your ego, Fiora.

We still lost, but when Draven respawned we were able to push them out and buy some more time but of course Lux, Garen, and Eve had 0 map awareness and get killed, resulting in Draven trying to 2v5 because "draven has so much damage" and I end up heading back alone. This isn't about them tbh, just adding additional details so you can look at the game if you don't believe me.

If I'd let myself be Penta'd it would have literally been both giving up and int'ing, which is against Summoner's Code, I'm pretty sure.

Anyway, what's your opinion on the Penta beggars? Is it justifiable? Have you ever done it?

One of the best feelings I've gotten while playing League is shutting down the enemy player on the quadra looking for the penta, just straight up killing them and shattering their dreams.

They want an easy ego inflation. "Yeah like this one time i 1v5'd an entire enemy team with my fiora" Some guy: Season 6 or season 8 fiora?

Penta is nearly never "earned" because even if it's literal 1v5 with everyone full health and nothing cooling down, you needed a team to get to this point.

So if you got quadra and it's not deserved anyway, it never hurts to ask for the fifth kill. Unearned pentas feel okay.

The worst is when your team tries to report you for stealing Pentas. I thought this was a low level thing, but apparently not.

The real question is why don't we ask for single kills too? Too afraid to ask is a bad thing xD

They do it because earning them is hard and some people want it for free. It is kinda sad to see it in game. I never saw it as a thing you should ask for, but I also don't see it as a horrible thing to say.

I'm with you 100% on the "earn it" mentality.

I'm not gonna stand there and give you a penta just because you managed to kill the rest of my team.

If you want a penta, Come and get me.

People know it's wrong to be egotistical in real life so they try and relegate it to the game only because of the safety that anonymity gives.

back in the old ap yi days i had so many pentas that i just dont care anymore if i get some or not. when i play aram and i get a champ i actually never ever play then i think getting a penta is a nice thing. but other than that who cares lol

I would challenge them to a duel. Even if I were to just kite it out, I'll make it a worth while fight until one dies or gives up on the fight.
