Can a Rioter explain to me my transgression please?

I do not have a link, which I suppose would help, but my chat has been disabled for nine games, after a terrible game in three players on my team and two of my opponents were incredibly rude to me throughout the game. I told the five of them individually after each particular flaming session that I intended to report them after the game, and I did, but apparently them reporting me collectively got me punished instead of them.

I'm aware of the fact that there are millions of people playing this game at any given moment in time, so obviously reports aren't looked at in a case by case way, but the bottom line is that I was wronged by my team which is acceptable, but then wronged by Riot afterwards, which of course, is not acceptable.

The IFS responds to every single report. It checks the chat, gives it a score, and decides to punish or not based upon the cumulative score over time.

Don't say that you're going to report people. It doesn't do anything except antagonize them in a situation where teamwork is already falling apart. Report them after the game. Mute them if you want to. Leave those decisions out of chat. The IFS flags those as negative.

Also, a single report does absolutely everything that 9 reports does. Any number of reports triggers the boolean flag that tells the IFS to review the game. There is no way for reports to 'gang up' on anyone.

However, if you wish for the community to weigh-in on your chat, then simply relog from the client and the chatlogs will be presented to you. You can copy and paste them here and we'll be happy to dissect what went wrong.

FYI, punishments aren't issued based on 1 (or 5) games alone, there typically is a history of bad behavior before someone is punished. Of course unless you were using hate speech or encouraging others to harm themselves, then you would have gotten off lucky cos typically those are instantly escalated to 14-day bans.

Harsh words, but not that bad honestly. More importantly, they only show what I responded with and not what was said to me which in all three games was by more than one person. I doubt Riot did anything about those individuals.__
