Community Helps with Support Tickets

You're chatting with a Hextechnician!

So this is apparently a thing and it is kind of neat in my opinion. You send in a support ticket and if it is something a community member can handle/answer then they will. Otherwise, it will get sent up the chain to Riot. I will copy paste the main part of the article for those who may be too lazy to click it themselves.:

What's Directly?

It's an app that hooks into our normal support channel and directs certain requests toward Experts. Experts help answer questions that probably don't need direct interaction with your account, so you get help faster. If they can't answer the question, it goes right back to a Riot agent.

Who are Directly experts?

Chill players with high Honor scores and a history of positivity. We look for people who already spend a lot of time helping out on forums and in the community.

Hextechnicians/Directly Experts do not have access to a players account information and is currently in Beta.

Thoughts? Do you think something like this can benefit Player Behaviour or would it be purely for general questions?

My best guess is no; I think tickets related to 'Player Behavior' more than likely go straight to Riot. From experience so far, I haven't seen many (or any) tickets related to player behavior issues. I think it's a good thing; these topics often get touchy and we risk receiving bad ratings out of frustration rather than honesty. We also don't have account access so our ability to help with these problems is rather limited.

We receive a lot of tickets about problems getting into games, problems with the client, bugs, general questions about how things work, etc. Simply put, we get to help out a lot with troubleshooting (technical problems) or providing general information (how to earn mastery tokens/chests, summoner name availability rules, etc.).

Thank you.

Edit: It seems like an interesting program that'd give players a better hand in helping out other players while support handles bigger stuff.

This is a pretty fantastic idea overall, honestly.

Personally, I'd love to have more Player Behavior related tickets, but the tickets that are most likely to be submitted require deeper account analysis than experts have access to. Things like "how can I improve my behavior" don't get tickets, usually.

A system LIKE this could be helpful, but I don't believe this SPECIFIC system is the right one.
