I have an idea (this is being reformatted for a video)

TL;DR: Why are we basically letting trolls win by not having a system designed to give players LP back when an intentional feed or troll is banned? After 8 seasons.

I just played a game of my (for some reason) favorite game. And, after getting a message that someone I already reported this morning got banned, for racism and threatening to int, etc. it happened again. I've accepted that there are bad players because they exist. I have accepted that there are smurfs. I have accepted long ago that I am not perfect, I have bad games, and am no high elo player who deserves better. But what I cannot accept is losing-- while only gaining 16-18 LP mind you-- 21 LP to 22 LP in ranked because someone intentionally makes the game undesirable to play. Then, I thought about it, this idea.

Why the hell.. hasn't an LP drawback system been developed in 8 seasons. Even when granted that ranked is immensely different from years before, over 7-8 years of ladder play, that still does not add up. It makes no sense that players who genuinely try in all to most of their games, (and no one is perfect, there's been those games where we perform bad, or just don't feel like putting in maximum effort, etc.) still lose out on an opportunity. It's especially alarming when Dunkey, arguably the most popular league content creator of all time-- now retired-- brought this up in an OLD video. From I'm sure it was 4 seasons ago. If someone trolls, intentionally feeds, why am I and my teammates still losing LP like it is our fault.

I don't believe that in all cases, when a reported player is banned or given a minimal punishment, this should apply. However, that thought really can only apply to toxicity. If someone genuinely trolls, intentionally feeds (not regular feeding because of skill, I know the difference and we all do when we see it,) why is there no drawback for the players who were doing a good job and being decent people to play with. I genuinely do not understand, especially in the context of many other games that have a system similar to the one I am mentioning. I know for a fact, that with the resources Riot games, a BILLION-- not multi-million-- BILLION dollar company has, that they could do this, which makes it very confusing. The polarizing point of these numbers is that we can't joke about Riot's status, say they don't care about the game, but then accept that "this is impossible," especially when it has been done before.

We can make the game less toxic, softly force the playerbase to be more politically correct (and I am no advocate for toxicity, although my sense of humor is dark admittedly,) and publicize the game with NBA players or other commercial efforts... but we can't make a system wherein reliable, in a sense of words, responsible players can't not get punished by an inting or griefing player. Just keep in mind we can't have that because it is "impossible" or "too hard" yet we can restructure ranked almost entirely to make climbing better.

Quite Frankly. I just think thats bullsh*t. [slayer-jinx-unamused] (also, this is not a rant, i want a genuine discussion)
