Hello before i begin i am an impulse buyer, if i see somthing that looks neat ill buy it no question, so i got into lol a yr ago ( b4 i got a job 4 months ago) and now that i have a job ive been spending way to much on lol and i need to limit myself, ill estimate ive been spending off my 350-450$ pay checks about 100-200$ off it in rp for champs and skins and rune pages. So i was wondering if i can set a daily/ weekly spending limit on the store IE 20$ per week or only 5 buys a week. if theres a way can some one help me b4 i lose a lot of my money. also if this feature isn't there they should really add it imo.

Damn, sounds like a personal problem that is gonna affect your life greatly if you don't fix it. League is such a minor factor. If they implement that, it's only gonna be a small band aid fix for you. The next game you play, you'll have the same problem. It's so much bigger than riot just implementing a spending cap. You gotta work on that yourself dude. Riot can do nothing for you.

The trick is to ask yourself "would your parents be proud of you if you bought/did this". Do it every time you're gonna spend money on something, and you'll not only be able to save quite a bit of $ (one of my friends apparently saved like 2 grand in a year just by cutting out a few needless gaming/mocha habits), but will also almost assuredly find yourself single in no time. the issue is self control , not a riot problem.

i started playing in preseason of season 3 in to this day i have spent a total of about $330 on this game... and most of that was gifting skins and champs to friends

i am very good about setting budgets and sticking to them and paying my bills on time and saving $. but then i grew up with having nothing with a single mom who was disabled on welfare with 2 ynger brothers so i know what it is like to do with out and not have new clothes , shoes, tv, internet etc...

so since the age of 16 i have always had a full time job and put myself through school and put myself in a position to have a good paying job to pay for things i want in life

This. If you can set a limit yourself, there's nothing stopping you from removing that limit when you want something.

Start asking yourself 'do I really need that? Do I need it right NOW?' I make a list of all the things I want to buy. If I still want them in a week or a month or whatever, I buy it. That goes for everything in my life.

Buy prepaid visa's load up as much as you want on them then sync it to your league account once the money is out no more rp until you load up another prepaid visa

He's looking for a way to restrict his buying habits Outside of self control which you recommend buying a prepaid loading 50$ onto it syncing it to league over his visa/paypal would directly limit his ability to purchase unless ofc he re syncs his bank account to riot at which point its on him again

Being able to set a spending limit on your account would lead to being able to change the spending limit.

If you're unable to control yourself from buying things unless there's a spending limit, I doubt you'd be able to control yourself from changing the spending limit once you reached it.

I agree that a limit makes no real sense. But I suppose it could be a nice feature to be able to set up a warning that pops up past a certain threshold. Something like that might help people who tend to lose track of how much money they spent already.

I mean, iirc LoL is one of the few f2p games that do not almost exclusively rely on "whales" without self control. So it might even be a good PR move from their perspective to highlight that by implementing a feature that helps these people lower their spending.

Im my country , Latvia, in every casino there is an option, you can write official paper and ask for restriction, for some time or for life, you cannot enter casino if you have no passport and if you want to stop spending cash after that paper - security just does not let you in

so much bla bla bla comments, like a person who is fat, knows he is fat , does not want to get fat but cannot resist when food is always in his face same with riot points on store, its one button away. +1 for option to set to yourself limit or disable rp store at all if person wants it.
