How long does it take to bounce back to honor level 2?

Hi Riot and the League Community, I have dropped down to honor level 1 after being hardstuck level 2 at checkpoint 3 since the new system has come. that's not an issue, I don't need a honor level 3 or 4 as much anyway. My issue is that if you do drop down, you unlock your honor once again, it feels very much impossible to bounce back. I hear all the talk about consecutive games and being "reformed" will help, but I find it very hard to believe. The checkpoint system was quite an attempt at showing actual progress, but it feels more like if I get the first checkpoint(which hasn't happened), it makes me wonder how long it's gonna take to get the other 2 and then after that get the actual level up. TL; DR: How long did it take for y'all to get back at honor level 2 after getting demoted to honor level 1 or dishonorable? (I know this sounds like a rant, and it is, mostly, but I really am genuinely confused about how one bad game can set a player back to the point where we can't even define how much progress we gain, and losing progress seems very well defined)
