Account Stolen and banned for 3rd party program - Watch out for this ...

There are a lot of users complaining right now that their accounts are getting banned and kept banned because they are being reported for 3rd party programs. I have plenty of proof that the user who got into my account was not authorized as I asked him in game on his other account why he said he was 'boosting' my account if I didn't pay for it and I also asked him how the heck he got my account information. I took matters into my own hands to attempt to figure out who this guy was and they said they didn't use 3rd party programs. I was bronze 5 for over 3 years. (Hush. I don't care about your own MMR.) This guy stole my account and in 3 days got me to silver v. I do not deserve silver. I play at bronze level. When I logged in i noticed a friend pm'd me and said 'wanna duo' and I was like I don't even KNOW this person. Upon some more investigation my match history was filled with 'win win win'

I was logged into my account when suddenly it said someone has logged into my account, the minute it happened I logged back in and went to send a ticket to riot, a few seconds after sending said ticket, the user contacts me on another account and I said 'who is this' and his response was clearly 'I'm the one boosting your account' I asked him what he meant because I didn't buy boosting and I didn't want to get in trouble I also asked him how he got my account information because I have NEVER shared my account information anywhere. I brought him into my discord where I spoke to him and he typed, I screenshot exactly what he said. When I asked how he got my password he shrugged, I said you do too know did you use something to force your way in? He responded with "Brute force? No."

I don't know how they got my account info, and frankly, I don't care... I changed it, and you should too.

Be sure to CONSTANTLY check your match history. If you see anything off IMMEDIATELY tell riot! Don't let them have your account for too long of you'll be unable to stop them. CONSTANTLY check your history. I can't stress this enough.

I have had my account since early 2013. I have been toxic in chat, but what idiot with an account at teenage ages hasn't. I have NEVER cheated on my account and I do NOT condone cheating in any form. I have been in bronze now for almost 3 years. I stay there because I suck at the game. I get better here and there, but I don't play a 'ton'

I owned every champion, several exclusive skins. My account had at least 2 grand sunk into it.

There is NO reason whatsoever someone could have gotten my account information from ANYTHING but insider information. I do not share account passwords, and my accounts were NEVER given to ANYONE for any reason.

I understand your frustration here. It does suck having someone take your account information and jeopardize its security. Riot tracks when accounts are accessed and is able to determine in over 99% of cases exactly when accounts were accessed by certain individuals. Sometimes (it's not a guarantee) they will be willing to discuss removal of punishments if the punishments were issued solely while an account was compromised.

Have you submitted an account recovery ticket yet? The first step, even if you've changed all your passwords, is to "recover" the account. Basically, that means you need to prove to Riot that you are the sole rightful owner - they'll provide a questionnaire for you to answer to prove this. Once you do that, i.e. once the account recovery team has verified you are the owner and that your account was compromised, then you will be able to discuss removal of punishment with them and the player behavior team.

If something is off in your account like someone had log in your account, immediately change to new password and report to authorized RIOT personnel. Plus also make sure check your purchase history too since it is linked to your bank account too.

who else is complaining about 3rd party bans? who gives a teen 2 grand to put into a game Like jeez I've out 500$ into this game across several accounts I can't imagine 2 grand on 1 account unless you literally purchased every champion with Rp

It looks like this is happening to quite a few people. Maybe riot security is not as good as it once was. Either way, they really need to work out a way to detect when an account has been hacked so they can give the account back to the rightful owner without banning it for 3rd party tools! This exact thing happened to me, and I'm desperately trying to get riot support to understand.[sg-janna]

I tracked this guy down by his discord and his Skype tag (posted on the forum where he sells the accounts) . He steals accounts to resell them. God I'm annoyed right now
