Do you think that the BANNING system has issues?

We are all humans, and no human makes no mistakes. Being toxic is in our blood, but there are limits of being toxic. What I'm saying is that there are some word like, stfu, noob, idiot, wtf, these should not be considered ban-able because we use them a lot daily. However, telling people to kill themselves or that they shouldn't play this game or any racism speech or talking about family or telling people they are disabled, these people should be banned. The idea of riot banning people is not about saying things, but hurting other people's feeling. However, I didn't hurt anyone's feeling. I was angry for my actions, whereas actions are sometimes taken toxic as what riots puts it. My main point is that players always say things due to anger problems or someone screwed up the game play. When I said somethings such as wtf, I'm simply trying to tell the player that they did something really wrong, and I'm willing to help. Sometimes I as the player if they are new so I can lead them because I have more knowledge then them. When I say noob, is because they made a mistake, trying to get them to prove me wrong; not everyone was arsed the same way or in same environment. So the "LEAGUE OF LEGENDS® TERMS OF USE (NA)" are not really good, they need work on the banning system, make improvement on it. I would like to read your thoughts, if you agree or disagree that Banning system is not good and needs work.

thank you for your time.

I just posted this discussion: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/general-discussion/kOrexn6z-improvements-of-the-game-before-banning Its about Banning system improvement. Sorry if I don't understand some players and repeat what I'm saying, but English is 3rd language please do understand that.

Being toxic is in our blood...

This is a flat-out lie.

The human condition does not intrinsically involve venting your anger maliciously on other people. Anger (and dealing with it) is a part of the human condition, but not toxicity. Toxicity is just the result of arrogant jerks deciding that they don't want to give the bare-minimum respect other people deserve.

What I'm saying is that there are some word like, stfu, noob, idiot, wtf, these should not be considered ban-able because we use them a lot daily.

Flaming and harassing people is against the rules, so, like it or not, telling people to shut the fuck up, or calling them "noobs" or "idiots" is against the rules, and consequently bannable.

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

The idea of riot banning people is not about saying things, but hurting other people's feeling.

Or, it's about toxic players disrupting the game and making it un-fun for everyone else, hurt feelings or no.

This is all, for lack of better words, absolute malarkey.

If someone made a mistake, they already know. They don't need to prove you wrong, especially when all you're doing is insulting them. You're not making any claims that really deserve to be addressed, let alone that should be proven wrong.

Though, let's put it this way; them reporting you and you getting punished for your misbehavior is them proving you wrong. Satisfied?

So the "LEAGUE OF LEGENDS® TERMS OF USE (NA)" are not really good, they need work on the banning system, make improvement on it.

What, so you can go around calling everyone who displeases you an idiot or a noob? Nah.

I would like to read your thoughts, if you agree or disagree that Banning system is not good and needs work.

The system is fine. Your communication skills on the other hand definitely need more work, if you think "wtf" means "I'm willing to help".

When I said somethings such as wtf, I'm simply trying to tell the player that they did something really wrong, and I'm willing to help.

Then instead of using curse words, how about you give them constructive criticism. Simply saying "wtf" is toxic not helpful.

What I'm saying is that there are some word like, stfu, noob, idiot, wtf, these should not be considered ban-able because we use them a lot daily.

People don't use them a lot daily. If your life is made up of these words, you should rethink what you say and change the way you communicate with others because I can tell you for sure that if you brought that type of language into your work place or home, you would get punished.

I didn't hurt anyone's feeling.

How do you know what you said didn't offend the person? They could be going through depression and negativity could add onto it.

Instead of saying the ToS is wrong, how about you change the way you talk to others?

Riot causes players to be more toxic because of all the unbalance in their game in which causes toxicity over time because of everyone's frustration and anger, they only get more mad when people get banned for bad words, but not for legit trolling matches. It doesn't matter if it's harder to detect a troll or not, it's still infuriating when you are the one who just got muted or banned for some simple bad words while the person who was "stealth" trolling gets a pass everytime. Not everything is detectable by a bot, so they seem to get banned a lot less since you actually need someone to see the match to ban them, because even if they are like 0/10, its still considered a bad match which it can be or not. Not saying that its 100% Riot's fault of course, some people just really have anger issues, but i was never this angry about this game years ago. It's just become so ridiculous especially this season and can cause people to lash out more at eachother. But its not always you initiating the toxicity, you can still be banned for replying to someone else who was originally toxic/trolling. For example, me being temporarily banned for getting mad in chat about someone trolling my ranked match, i get no notice like other times that the player has been penalized, but i get a temp ban just because of bad words.

It's an automated system, of course it has issues.

There's always room for improvement, but I think it works pretty well.

My only concern is that they don't manually review BEFORE permanently banning. I feel like that should be the one place where a manual review is performed by default... but aside from that, I'm pretty happy with the way it's working.

yes, we are all human, may I remind you that a very important human trait is the aspiration to be better.
