Could I be banned?

I came in before stating people were reporting me because I apparently didn't choose the right champion for whatever role they seem to think I was playing.

My question is simple, can I be banned for playing in a normal blind pick game and choosing the character I want to play and being respectful to people?

From the point I picked my character people were talking about reporting me, it intensified when I didn't play that well. "first few games back after years of not playing"

I have to admit I'm a bit hesitant to play PvP currently.

I guess I'd understand if I was playing a ranked match and potentially messing with someones rank or something like that, but when friends of mine told me I could get banned or suspended or something I laughed thinking they were joking.

off meta champs are not a bannable offense.

dying alot cos you are trying something new and sucking isn't a bannable offense.

trolling / intentional feeding however, is a bannable offense. Most the time Riot is able to tell when you are trolling and not just having a bad game.

Riot can monitor everything you do or say. They'll be able to figure out if a person is trolling or simply trying something different.

No, you cannot be banned for simply not playing the meta as long as you're not doing so with the intent to troll and be a jerk. A good rule of thumb to remember though is that it's generally wise and respectful to ask your fellow teammates if it's okay to play a certain champion in a certain role/way. If they don't mind then it's fine. If they object and/or don't feel comfortable with it and you take it anyways then it's not fine. From the Tribunal FAQ:

Can I be banned for not playing the meta? Players are not banned by the Tribunal for not playing the meta; they are banned for consistently creating negative experiences for others.

We have data suggesting that reviewers of Tribunal cases are very thoughtful and accurate in their verdicts, so if you were reported for not playing the meta but were being a positive player, you can expect to be judged fairly.

In general, players should feel empowered to play what they want and to try new strategies; however, this does not give you a license to be disrespectful or rude to your fellow gamers.

Can I be banned for playing an unpopular champion? No, the Tribunal does not ban players for playing unpopular champions. You should feel empowered to play any champion you like, any way you like as long as you are creating a positive experience for everyone in the game.

do you feed every game where it looks like you're trolling/intentionally feeding? are you offensive to your teammates?

if you answered no to each then your fine mate, you could get reported everygame but it wont ban you

people are just stuck up in terms of what the "meta" is ^_^

You can't be banned for playing what you want to play, however disregarding what the team is saying and not doing your job regardless of being warned of your wrong-doing is considered toxic.

When I see this, I think of you as someone who can't handle pressure from a team. You auto-locked from my guess, then you failed to follow up with gameplay

Blind pick? Not really; unless you get reported by an inordinate number of people. Which, I mean... Could happen if it seems like you're being overly obstinate about not picking something that obviously doesn't fit the role that's left.

trust i feel i was just perma ban because i got into a group with five (hexikill) and i got reported and permaban how is this fair at all its not but welcome to the league comunity its fucking garbage
