A plea to increase priority on tribunal 2.0 development/Introduce a new feedback system
This is a plea to prioritize tribunal 2.0 or introduce some new player-originated feedback system, for us that care about making a difference.
I'd like to share a story why: I just finished a ranked game that made me sad and also want to quit. The reason? Not because we lost, but because I was harrassed repeatedly and feel I have no recourse. Yes, I reported them, but I'm unsure whether any action will ever get taken against them. Generally speaking, I am never sure that any action is ever taken against players I report, and I have reported bots (For clarity: not actual bots -- players who were blatantly using bots).
I am not saint: I've had my share of poorly-acted behavior in League. But that said, in this particular game I chose to take the high road and did/said nothing that could be construed as toxicity. I did not defend my poor gameplay. I did not point out their mistakes. I did not grief them in game. I even went so far as to apologize for my bad game. And yet, I was not given the same courtesy, whilst I was called useless, actively griefed via things like having Kindred-mark camps stolen by allies, and asked to be reported at the end of the game. All that I could be faulted in that game was my poor performance, of which I don't believe this is a Riot-approved reason to be banned.
I think one of the strengths of the old tribunal was the feeling of making a difference in the community. Personally, I went back and reviewed cases even after the IP rewards were removed from the tribunal.
With so much toxicity rampant in the League community, I'm sure I'm not alone in the camp of players who actually want to help give feedback. I'm sure some of us genuinely want to help reform the community. I'm sure some of us also feel good when we feel like we are getting toxic players punished.
Ultimately, whatever the reason, I really hope there is motivation to push along Tribunal 2.0 -- we have been so long without it.
