I know its so ppl don't abuse it and dodges not constant... but i feel like in low elo, dodges should be fine. its not like we are gonna climb anyways.

You answered your own question in your post... It's so people don't abuse it and dodge when they OP.GG their team and assume it's a lost cause in champ select and dodge to move on to another, better team. Essentially if there was no dodge timers people could never lose games if they play their cards right.

Because if games take too long to start, people get pissed. Pissed players will eventually leave if the pissing goes on to long. Riot's running a business, and dodge timers are a deterrent.

If you know why it exists, why question why it exists lol

That’s very defeatist. Dodge timers are important, as not only a punishment, but a deterrent. Doesn’t matter how low the elo is, I believe it is relevant in all of them.

So we actually have a chance to get in a game. I imagine the majority of lobbies would be dodges. Think about all the petty shit, especially in low elo, people would dodge over. Theyre so clueless they think one champ pick will decide the entire game, even though in low elo comps barely even matter because the skill levels vary so drastically.
