Potential reword to protective/non-permanent "bans"/locks

Just a thread to discuss the possibility of renaming the currently applied "permanent ban", which can be anything from hacking, protective lock, a lock to contact player support to discuss borderline behavior, a chargeback, or any number of other things.

How about:

Summoner - your account has been indefinitely locked. Please contact Player Support at https://support.riotgames.com for context on this lock and the next steps.

This removes the ambiguity (ensuring people know it's not a ban but a lock, as well as that it's not permanent but merely indefinite) as well as gives more of a "wait, it's not all over i just need to contact PS".

List of "bans" this would apply to:

  • Bans placed due to suspicious activity
  • Bans placed due to compromised account
  • Bans placed due to use of a phishing site
  • Bans placed due to a chargeback
  • Bans placed due to a player's behavior, but that are not permanent bans - where the player merely must contact Player Support to discuss the behavior before continuing play
  • Any similar type of "ban".

Really I don't care what it's called, as long as they are banned. What should happen, is Riot and the telecom company/companies that person is getting services from or changes too, should ban the person from even playing LoL ever again. Cheaters are scum.

Personally I'd rather keep "permanent ban" and change everything else to some for of temporary lock. Banning is already well known on the internet, and can even mean permanent ban when not specified to be permanent. An account lock, however, does not carry that weight.

I'd be all for renaming either one of them though.

Why indefinitely and not temporarily? Indefinitely and permanent are synonyms, so that statement would imply that the account is permanently locked.

Otherwise yeah.
