So... question for everyone here about trolls.
Just had a match where our mid Vel'koz decided to throw the game. HARD. He got mad at our Rengar for "kill stealing" a kill from him by, you know... helping him... and after that he did all he could to throw the game.
Here's the thing. He didn't run it down or anything. He just lurked in jungle and stole camps from Rengar and afked far from the enemy team, stealing jungle monsters, so his KDA wasn't terrible and his CS wasn't terrible. He however, still managed to throw the game by, well... forcing it into a 4v5. But he intentionally did it in a way the ban bot won't detect. If anything it'll notice the entire team yelling at him for most of the game because he was, well... screwing us all.
So what's the recourse for things like this? Does the immature bully win? He legit laughed about it in post game chat, admitted he did it all to throw and then acted smug about how he "owned us"... So I assume this technique just works? He certainly seemed confident that he'd never be punished for it. Is that really the case? Can I get any attention on this in any way? A simple report seems like it won't do much, since the bot will just see his half-decent KDA and CS and that his team was all arguing and conclude it was just another game that went poorly and descended into arguing, not one that was deliberately thrown away by a VERY immature, self-centered person.
What can be done about this kind of crap? Or does the troll just get to screw over everyone and get away with it?
Edit: A happy end to the tale. After a single Riot ticket was sent I got a response from a live person who said they'd look into and lo and behold the next time I log in "A player was punished because of your report". I hope it was a ban. I guess the dumb jerk wasn't as untouchable as he thought he was.
