The 4v1 Surrender. Why being the minority sucks sometimes and questions for RIOT & the Community.
I am sure there are a couple of people who have experienced this but I wanted to see if this happens to other people in the community. There have been times where I have been on a team and we surrender pre-preemptively where they may have been a chance we could win.
As a product of the pre-season changes there are obvious signs of a snowball effect in which the other team clearly has the advantage or teammates are toxic towards each other, and even just plain poor gameplay and teamwork amongst teammates.
My questions to riot and other players is how exactly do you determine when it is time to surrender, and do you think there are clear signs of when you should or should not give up on a match? Is there a grey area? If there is a grey area, how would you describe it?
Do not get me wrong, I am not complaining about the capability to hold a surrender vote, but to take a closer look at the reason why people choose to surrender and how that decision comes to fruition. If anyone at Riot does any kind of research on why player's agree to surrender that would be cool to see. After seeing the post about dealing with anger I figured this would be an interesting follow up.
Thanks all!
