Draft pick griefing. I just want to know what everyone thinks.

I was in champion select for a draft pick game, and I was making the bans. I looked for Darius , and he didn't show up. I banned Heimerdinger Yasuo and Katarina . I chose to go mid. I was then subsequently called a shitty human being and screamed at and cursed out by two of my teammates because I was "being selfish for only picking mids."

The other team had chosen Garen (Who I normally also choose), Mordekaiser , and I can't remember the third.

I defended myself by saying that they had never given me suggestions. Because that's what happens. In literally every draft pick. Ever. They told me that it wasn't their job to tell me, that I should know and not be so selfish.

Was I wrong?

Well, while you're not obligated to ban or not ban any particular thing, being a team game it's best to communicate with them for bans and picks.

What I do is call my lane, and suggest some bans and ask the team what they want banned. I'll ban out what I find a priority for one of them and ban what they want for at least one other, regardless of what it is just to make them happy. Even if it's actually a shitty ban, it starts the game on a good note.

Plus, you could have told them you banned top heimer and yas :3
