Custom Skins

Is this bannable? I have seen many streams and youtubers using custom champions skins, splash art, map skins, and hud's. Is this bannable or punishable? If so, how does Riot detect and enforce it. How do they get proof. Where is this in the rules.

I just have questions about it and am looking for answers. Thanks!

Anything that messes with the game files are punishable. Be it harmless stuff like Custom Skins and HUD, be it truly fucked up stuff like jungle camp timers or scripts.

With that said, Rioters have stated that they won't go on a witch hunt for custom skin users and that they have nothing against it, BUT if for some odd reason the automated system gets to you, you may or may not be royally screwed and there will be little to be done to help you out.

TL;DR: use it at your own risk.

You'll need to research the program you'll be using in order to implement the custom skins.

Make sure they DO NOT come with anything that could be considered an unfair advantage. Be it a timer, zoom feature, or anything similar. It should only work to change the appearance of your champion for you alone.

As long as you can prove that this was the program you were using you can at least have something to argue your case if you are banned by the automated system.
