Hello fellow summoners, I got perma banned on my only account, I didn’t think such a day ever would come where: I'd be banned for my behavior, where id post on this board, but here I am. By nature I am not an evil guy but what I did was wrong and in some ways I see the effectiveness of the tribunal system. I guess this day in particular I was on edge, having just finished exams (excited for couple of good league games) and seeing that the season will come to an end soon (having started in silver this season which is my first season I wanted to finish in something a little higher) I wanted to win. Anyway I que up for my series game with top and mid selected, in lobby I have darius as the champion I would like to play selected when our jungler vi bans him (he was right after me so no excuse of not seeing my darius pick). So my anger boiled because this isn’t the first of second or even third time this has happened to me. No apology no words nothing from this Vi, pretty much acts like no fucks given. Game starts I select Draven top in intention to troll (lets be honest) but in lane I decide to play (vs pantheon). Game progresses as it does vi has given first blood and I believe second , bot lane cant farm and mid doesn’t push wave as opponent midlaner roams. Game progresses and I start getting camped (understandable I mean I am a squishy top lane) but this vi does nothing to help nor has not given me any sort of apology and thus floodgates open: Game 1 Old Testament: when they ban the champ u want to play....i had him up too Old Testament: hopefully u invade this jgler Old Testament: tired of %%%s like this vi Old Testament: my bad karthus on the mia ping nothing against u Old Testament: yay Old Testament: i wanted was darius Old Testament: vi is dumb mexican Old Testament: u still trash vi Old Testament: blind fk Old Testament: for what Old Testament: u know what i dc i mean ur an ignorant son of bitch for bannin my champ when u clearly saw him in lane Old Testament: i did blind fk Old Testament: why do u talk so much vi u fked up this game period. These all the stuff I got back from my ban card as being reviewed and considered offensive. Yes it is ugly but let me say the vi wasn’t a quiet lamb either. I wish I had some of the stuff he said here to post but that’s beside the point, here after my account gets instant perma banned with no warnings or chat restrictions from the past (least from my recollection, if there was point that someone could look up and bring to my attention that would be helpful but being my first ranked season I have no memory of previous warning or chat restrictions which I am sure of). I have received and heard about more horrendous flamming on league which i have not taken the time to report because at the end of the day I am going to remeber what you said for like 2 mintues and you and what you said means nothing to me . Anyways so my first account banned permanently without warnings or restrictions. x1000 I guess my goals of this post is to first say I’m sorry and if the vi jungler reads this I hope he or she learns that if you had given me my sorry I would have calm down and would have proceeded with a normal game, but you had not which made me think either your troll or arrogant (fill in the word as you like) purposely trying to ruin it for me.All I wanted was sorry maybe I didn’t see that u had darius idk something along those lines would sufficed.

Secondly I want to say sorry to the league community because what I did was ruin a game experience for others and sort of attack a community which I have no hatred what so ever for (his name was el "something"-- seeing el I figured he/she from Latin descent idk I was being stupid). I have nothing against any community those that know me in person can confirm that easily.

Third reason I am posting this here is to hear your thoughts, constructive would helpful. Was I deserving the full blow without warning or restrictions (none what so ever)? What should I do next? I DO FEEL TERRIBLE FOR MY WORDS which I am sincerely sorry for, and I made that clear as possible with support tickets. I hope to be given a second chance or a lighter punishment because this has been my wake up call. I shall wait and see what happens there. thanks for your time, have a good day, and remember to stay calm, mute the person if that’s what it takes it’s not worth it, especially if you don’t have multiple accounts.

The permaban most likely came as a result of the hate-speech. Using the word %%%, as well as calling Vi a "dumb mexican" will count as both homophobic and racial slurs, both of which are judged quite harshly by Riot. They can escalate a punishment into a permaban without passing through a chat restriction or a 14 day suspension.

As you've filed a support ticket, you can wait to hear back from Support, but in cases of behavioral ToS violations, bans are rarely overturned. It might be easier to simply create a new account, and take the lesson you have learned from this into that new account, and not make this mistake in the future.

I'm not going to read all these paragraphs you took your time to create, since only the chat logs are what's important that led to your permaban.

According to your chat logs, you were calling names, berating your teammates, & just plain rude unsportsmanlikeship. The permaban was deserved.

it's a silly thing to say for what he did he deserved nothing more than a chat restriction/chat ban, a temporary one too

i think on one of my accounts back then when players' tribunal existed i got a warning (!) for stuff much worse than what he quoted when i flamed hard 40 games in a row as a matter of experiment and on another i got a couple of chat restrictions for a worse stuff too, so they are not even fair and consistent with their own rules banning only unlucky ones

also i wonder if all the permabanned people immediately chargebacked riot, would they get easier on chat behaviour or not. what rito does is borderline with providing a bad service, and when you can't use what you bought most of banks/payment systems would agree that you have the right to forcedly get money from rito back to you

everyone is entitled to their opinion, thanks for your input, i personally feel a suspension would been the right amount of wake up call, if you had a glance at what I had said, id highlight and stress this was my first account my first season =perma ban? Let me be clear, I am sorry for what I did, it was spur in the moment, out of anger, got no apologetic remark from vi (which if had happened would have been different story), still seeing your point i feel a suspension would have showed me plenty, is that wrong i think that? thanks for input anyway!

The rules in the ToS with regards to hate speech are the same. Hate speech isn't allowed on any of the servers. People might get away with more bantering trash-talk on some of the European servers than they would on the North American server, but there's some things that just won't fly anywhere, IF they are reported.

As far as chargebacks, that might be making more of a problem. Per the ToS, if you violate the rules, you are subject to the loss of your account, including any money that you voluntarily spent on it. Each time the client updates, we are given a copy of the ToS to review and when you click accept, you are making a binding agreement with Riot to accept those terms and conditions, in essence, legally agreeing to them and the consequences if you violate them. If you go to a movie theater and start acting up and get thrown out, you don't get to demand your money back from the theater because you didn't get to finish watching the movie.

they don't permaban people on the first offence, as far as i know it's specifically a feature of na server. euw is moderated by more sane people and they punish for chat offences with chat restrictions, at least at first

btw personal insults from the original post aren't hate speech

i dunno why you bring the tos here, signing the tos doesn't make you lose the legal buyers' protection and stuff regardless what is written in the tos, if it's what you implied. the laws don't work like that if a company writes in their tos that they can take your possessions by their whim (and it's literally written in the riot's tos, they can ban you simply for thinking that way, without you violating any rules at all) you can't do anything against that. you can

Ban's aren't lifted unless RIOT was incorrect in giving you the ban or your account was compromised.

Nobody made you do anything, your behavior is up to you completely and without exception. Vi is in no way responsible for your behavior. It is you and you alone. You chose to be toxic, you chose to tilt your team, you chose to post racially charged comments. If you were truly sorry about the incident you would admit fault and not make excuses such as these. This type of excuse indicates you will just blame someone else for your toxicity in the future.

I have nothing to do with repealing bans, I am just calling them like I see them.

See this community is ready exacute without trial, without wanting to hear a defendants statement. My statement is to simply state that people can be more apologetic if they do someone wrong, all i wanted to say then and even now is that if you error whether its a ban on someones main champ while they are in their series or of any sort on the rift tell the person "its my bad" or "im sry for doing that" thats all that sometimes may be needed to decharge the other someone,(least for a sane person if someone apologizs for their wrong, in my view already steps to compromise is being taken) i have done it, we all have at some point, that is accidently banning a persons champ, and when i did and if i do (idk if league is in my future) i wouldve had apologized immediately. Maybe i did not notice your pick or i may have banned out of panic b/c it was a last second ban whatever the reason may be I would have apologized to the person, which is all I am trying to say there and here, a my bad would have been enough cause then i know that you know u did something uncool, everyone moves on, and lastly i did not tilt my team i did not throw the game so please before stating stuff you dont have all the facts for or when making your own assumptions understand you were not personally there. I can post up that games stats but then what am i trying to prove i know i was reallu wrong in that comment but it was not without cause,nothing was done to tilt my team or throw the game everything that followed in that game was a consqeuence of what happened in the lobby. Final note i know how sorry i was/ still am for what i said, the person that reads my ticket will know thats good enough for me.

What your describing is a bully, out of the blue I just picked Vi and decided to attack, no way was that what it was, I'm against bullying in anyplace or form, but sometimes frustration does get the best of us, I am human, and sometimes things slip, I would apologize to the community and to the Vi for my statement but never will I accept what you are trying to depict me as. Anyway thanks for your comment

mhm i understand what I did was wrong, but you know when the times when you blurt stuff out of anger no evil intentions just frustration, annoyance fused together, I wish I had received a suspension of some sorts i mean this was my first season and first account probably my last, a suspension would have taught me what i get now minus the sadness idk thanks for your input nonetheless and im hoping for an appeal

There is a scene in the beginning where he defense his wife from a group of men, but accidentally kills of them, which sends him to jail.

Same thing.

Although your actions were defensive, you said something that cannot be taken back, and RIOT deems it enough to ban your account.

thanks to their stupid reddit-like forum i personally made it looking as an ordinary forum with posts rated by their novelty so it could be at least partially usable

it's a simple protection of buyers and it is very popular

a few people do it simply because they dislike their purchases and the only defence of riot against it it is to block their accounts

I would have to agree with you on this one. It's a binding legal agreement, and is illegal to file fraudulent chargebacks. I just hope most people are too cautious to do that. For small amounts, Riot might not consider it worth the effort to contest, but for large amounts of money, they easily could.

No, the insults are not hate speech. But %%% and dumb mexican are homophobic and racist, respectively. As many of us have said previously, it's probably not the insults that resulted in the ban. Those are very minor, all things considered, and probably not worthy of more than a chat restriction. The old tribunal system would have been fairly lenient with them most likely. But the hate speech tends to escalate things.

Here's a copy of the two sections of the terms of use that deal specifically with Virtual Goods.
