Support as in not deciding if its a sport or a casual game.
This game is both to different people. Catering to both doesn't make them indecisive, it shows they understand their playerbase.
Not having sandbox mode.
Honestly, a lack of a practice/sandbox mode is likely due to Flash. Flash is too strong. Being able to practice using Flash mid ability would result in more players being expected to do so to be considered "good", or at least Silver level.
Not punishing bad players.
Bad players are "punished" by the MMR system. You don't see me being matched against Cloud 9 because of it. I'd also remind you that you only have one game with that player you consider bad. I've had games on my main champs where I can't keep anything together, it happens to everyone.
Having a terribly out of date ranking system.
Do you have an example of a better ranking system that could be used as a model?
Client works 50% of the time.
50%? It's far closer to working 99.5% of the time, but Riot is completely redoing the client regardless. You can see some of the alpha test footage around.
Not endorsing a meta.
And...? How many games do endorse a meta? Last I heard Blizzard wasn't listing off the list of strategies that they recommend using for Starcraft 2.
Giving shit advice to new players through the recommended items.
The new player experience is terrible, I'll give you that. Tutorials, tool-tips, and the in-game shop need an update to make it easier to understand what's going on.
That said, you're level 30, not a new player. Most of the player base is level 30. This shouldn't be something that detracts you, as someone who knows better, from playing the game.
Who gets banned for talking shit? You get a chat restriction. I've heard some Hitler-esque shit on here and I'm sure they keep on playing as long as its making rito money.
Like I said, look at the board you're on. There are all too many people who complain about being banned despite paying hundreds of dollars and spending thousands of hours playing.
10-game chat restriction, 25-game chat restriction, 14-day ban, then permaban. Those are the punishments people go through. If they're particularly out of line they can skip one.
