How to help solve the Leaver problem.

Ever notice that it takes about 5 lobbies to actually get into a game? You start playing and someone AFK's?

People don't care about the 5 - 30 minute wait times.. Just leave, log in, wait. Play when you are ready.

Leave buster takes too long to even pick up and people know the ways around it.

So, implement the 'no IP for next game' penalty. That doesn't seem like a big loss to some, but, if it stacks for each leave, on-top of the time penalty, it really hurts. Over time, you have fewer runes, fewer champs and fewer options. I wouldn't want to leave games (I don't anyways).

For a lot of the people that can't afford Riot points, and for those that like to ruin others games by being selfish, it's a way that:

  1. We know they are getting punished
  2. They become less competitive, until they actually participate (See 5)
  3. Lowers this over wildly AFK and Queue Dodge issue
  4. Makes League, again, the game we have loved and hated to hate
  5. Makes people think twice about Dodging before they don't want to play a champ they don't know how (It's also the point to play different champs, to know how to play against them)

It's not complicated. It's not that punishing to lose 60-115 IP for having to bail on a game on a rare occasion. If you stack 5 games of no IP, that's pretty brutal.

Make sure it is only against player matched games. Don't affect IP boosts.

If they are below Level 30, also include 'No XP'.

CONS:

"Rito gave me no IP because I had to leave a game for Church / School / Party / Internet Died." - Life Isn't Fair. See, "Apology", by Socrates "I don't want to play League anymore because I can't get my way!" - Thank God, See Ya. "It's not my fault!" - One game isn't going to hurt you.

PROS:

A metric ton and 3/4.
