I really need help guys - looking for any normal and fair moderator who actually cares

short story: i had this game with some sick troll, he fed, he stood afk and at the end made me tilted and i started swearing. he was FOCUSING on that and after he got what he wanted - he said now he had reason to report me. so i got 10 game chat restriction and honor block. first i tried to explain this situation to first support yesterday - they ignored it and talked BS with smiling face and kind manners. today i wrote to support again - this time to atleast get exact info about my honor and when it will be unlocked and ofcourse i still get BS then i request to review my ban and i create ticket for that. after that i get absolutely same obscure answer (which also says they didn't even bothered to check the game) - neither of them actually cared to check the game and see what was what.

they even proved that with their words - they said they WILL investigate the guy - so that means he was unpunished 'till this time, but i got punished for being human and having patience limit.

thing that made me mad about these guys - they talk too obscure, when i wanted my goddamn numbers - how many games/honors till it unlocks - so if it will take too long i'll just move to another server. they don't respect my time.

When you get honored, each tick grants a slight increase, however, if you manage to get all your team mates to honor someone (doesn't matter who, and it's easy to cooperate on honors when going with premades), the boost to your honor gained is slightly higher, even when below the standard honor level 2. Having a look over the logs from the audited game resulting in your current restriction, as far as I can see, your punishment was rightfully placed.

I understand some matches can get really heated, but it's never worth giving in to your rage as this can affect others who are not involved in the cause of your frustration. On top of ruining their experience as well (which I'm sure is not your intention), all you can accomplish by lashing out in chat is to get yourself punished, which isn't worth it just for a troll if you ask me.

Regarding this issue, the reason for your restriction was not because you decided to make a stand and prove the trolls wrong. It was merely for how you decided to vent all the tension in chat.

Rest assured, a game can get unbearably frustrating for any of us, so we know how that's like. The only difference is how everyone chooses to react to such.

The 10-game chat restriction is the first and most lenient punishment in our escalation steps. Please keep in mind that the chat restriction is meant as a warning that you should improve your behavior. We will not turn this punishment into a suspension unless this kind of behavior keeps resurfacing.

While the example you gave below with that AFK player is indeed something unacceptable, we can not generalize the punishments to encompass everyone merely for the sake of a few players who deliberately wish to ruin a game. Manual investigations may do the trick, but that takes time.

I completely understand where this plea is coming from as it can surely take the fun out of things, but we are doing the best we can to trim down all negative aspects of the community to improve quality of life, however that can be easier said than done, especially with a growing player-base.

We will go ahead and investigate said player's behavior, that has no impact on your own punishment as each behavior is audited individually without any circumstantial content taken into account.

In the end, everyone that deserves a penalty, be it a chat restriction or an account suspension, will most certainly get it eventually. I can assure you there's no avoiding that and it applies to the one who ruined your game as well.

Please be advised however that disciplinary actions are confidential and we will not divulge the outcome of this investigation.

I understand how this lack of information could easily make someone who consistently reports bad behavior think that nothing is being done on the matter, but all I can do is assure you that such is not the case.

While we can't divulge info on other people's punishments, sometimes they choose to do so themselves, so if you need proof, head to the Boards and go through the posts. That should clarify things.

Also, honor drops are directly tied into the process of disciplinary punishment. It's an extent of what happens when the rules are crossed, and must be played through if you wish to get back on track with your honor level and honor rewards.

I sincerely hope you do not take this personally and instead view it for what it is. Actions have consequences, and just like anything else, we each have to own up to them.

  1. support copying only my chat to make me look like really bad person in my own eyes and shame me.

2.they absolutely ignore my request to see honor progress - it's my goddamn honor ffs - make honor visible, since they say it progresses but slowly - i want to see the progress. will it take 1 week, 1 month, 5 years?! -_-

3.after my 1000 requests to check goddamn game, ofcourse still noone checked it and they say they will "investigate" the guy. if you've seen goddamn game in the first place - you would need no further "investigation".

this is support (remember second one) not giving a damn about players.

and i should be calm and don't protest this kind of carefree approach?!

is there any normal moderator in whole RIOT moderation who can tell me what is going on. this is how you treat your users?!

repeating "I completely understand" 50 times like broken record doesn't mean nothing if you actually don't understand anything.

"We will go ahead and investigate said player's behavior" - by saying this they literally told me that troll was unpunished untill this date. if anyone wants to see that game from moderation, any normal moderator who actually cares - they could easily do that.

I'm afraid if you've already talked to Player Support than no one here can help you. I understand that sometimes a game gets frustrating, but insulting and belittling other players isn't allowed, even if you're frustrated, and even if they started it first. Behavior like the behavior below just isn't okay, is definitely offensive/insulting, and will absolutely get you punished.

You may disagree with that on a personal level, but this is simply how the system works, whether or not you personally agree with it.

Someone else starting it does not justify you being toxic. Them investigating someone else doesn't just mean they went unpunished but only that they will look into it.

As the support agent has told you, your punishment was solely based on your behavior. If you want to try and claim your chat didn't deserve punishment, post your full, unedited chat logs from your reform card.

This is the only line needed to issue a punishment. Calling anyone retarded is unnecessary and uncalled for in game. It breaks the summoners code, that is the behavior code that you agree to when creating an account. It does not matter what anyone else in the game says or does, the only thing that matters is how you respond to it.

you chose to respond to it poorly and as a result, you are punished for it.

Hi, I'm not a mod or admin or player behavior specialist but I'm going to try and help you understand what is going on.

Next, let me say I'm sorry you've had this experience. Unfortunately, you're not alone and many of us empathize with your situation. I've played with trolls and I absolutely hate it and it tilts me, BUT I make a concerted effort to try and refocus myself back to the game. I have definitely gone tilt sometimes but let me tell you, I'm honor 4 right now and was honor 5 last time. I play games on basically a daily basis, so I'd like to think I have a fairly good grasp on controlling my tilt and behaving within the standards Riot has set forth.

So you got a chat restriction for your behavior. Just so you know, chat restrictions are the slap on the wrist. Don't take it personally, but do take it seriously. What Riot is doing with chat restrictions is telling you that they're noticing negative behavior that they want you to stop doing in the future.

I'm not going to quote your whole chat log but I did read it. Although you did not say anything terribly toxic, you did clog the chat up with arguing and complaining about your troll teammate. I completely understand that this is very frustrating, but Riot has been on a very strong push of trying to tell people that the purpose of the chat is to facilitate cooperation and teamwork building.

You definitely filled the chat with non-cooperative and non-teamwork building chat. This not only interferes with your own ability to cooperate and work with your teammates, but also interferes with your other teammates abilities to communicate with each other and cooperate as a team. I know there is the option of using voice chat in game, however, it's not mandatory to be in voice chat (and it shouldn't be mandatory) and although there is an alternative method and medium to create cooperation and build teamwork.... there's also an alternative to dealing with trolls and troll behavior.

  • Report at the end of the game
  • Move on

This is the most effective and that's why Riot wants you to use it. You waste little time typing, you don't unintentionally tilt your teammates when they read the arguing back and forth, and you spend more time focusing on the game and less time feeding trolls.

You got a slap on the wrist and don't take it so hard. It sucks getting locked out of honor rewards, BUT, it's a chat restriction. It's the lowest tier of punishment.

Try to keep your chin up and don't get baited by trolls. They want that response out of you because they know that once they hook you, they can bring you down. Don't give them the satisfaction of a response. Don't let them trick you into getting a punishment.

Fuck the trolls. Don't let the trolls win.

P.S. (Also, you don't get punished for swearing, I think Tantram has said it on the forums.... or some other red, but I definitely remember some authority saying you don't get punished for swears)

You should have told support you were ban baited if you wanted them to look into the game instead of asking them to give you all this information theyd never give you as it would allow people to game the system.
