Need severe punishments for quitting or afking in ranked.

It has become to the point where the culture of this game is making ranked play not a competitive environment. In almost every few games there will be a player that will start having extremely negative chat such as saying ff, 15, etc, after one death. They will then ensue to afk when surrender votes are rejected. Not every match is going to start in someone's favor. The professional matches do not surrender or quit. There needs to be severe punishment in ranked even if it is due to internet.

A tool should be added to the client to allow users to check connection stability for a few minutes to ensure their internet has a good connection to the game.

Players that disconnect or afk should be disabled from rank game play for 30 days per policy checked by automation bots for inactivity.

This is a dire situation for the state of ranked play. Sure, some people will have bad performance in any game, any sport; but it is not accepted culture to just quit. This is becoming accepted culture in lol and should be stopped quickly and harshly before it gets worse.

I can't agree with you more. Riot seems really strict on matter of toxicity (which is okay) but when it comes to AFKing in ranked, they don't seem to care much. And in my opinion, that negatively affects the game much more. You can always mute someone if its that bad, but you cant bring in a 5th man. 1 afk should be 30 days and go up from there.

I mean, that is sorta the point if LPQ to ny understanding. Making sure your connection is stable for 20 minutes (max penalty) before finding a game.

I agree but not just ranked, normals as well. I don't care if people think normals dont matter, it's still a game where I have to play. It's not like it's nothing. It's my time being wasted when others leave whether it is ranked or normals. I am still at a disadvantage 4v5 with someone leaving. The punishment should also apply to normals too.

Idk about 30 days, but yeah perhaps something definitely more severe than what we have now.
