Unlocking honor level in ARAM

Can you actually unlock your honor level in ARAM? Usually its like 30ish games to unlock the honor level, but I've played somewhere around 50-60 ARAM games and no unlock. Anyone know if ARAM works, or should I go to SR to unlock it?

On a side note, do you get the same honor "exp" on ARAM as you do in SR?

Gotta get them honors. In my experience, ARAM is better for grinding honor because of how fast games are and you're more likely to get honored while playing ARAM.
