Does reporting people still work?

I swear, I've gotten at least 6 trolls in the past 10 games in ranked and the team agreed to report them for whether it was intentionally feeding, homophobic or generally offensive language, or leaving the game, or some combination of the the three; yet nothing happens. Ever. We don't get that little notice that says they've gotten theirs. It's tiring getting these people while I'm trying to climb. I can't go 2-3 games without one of these jerks inhabiting my game. Something needs to be done on Riot's part.
