So can we please get a actual report system that isn't run by a automated computer program that only take action only when a certain amount of reported problems is related to one individual players.
I can understand wanting a bit more "instant gratification" when it comes to reports; i.e. if you have someone being abusive in your matches, you want to see them made to stop. That's reasonable. Nobody wants to deal with harassment from other players. But in reality, the Instant Feedback System is actually much faster at reviewing matches and issuing punishments to players than the previous system.
It may seem slower to punish, if you are thinking that the IFS waits until it has X number of reports prior to issuing a punishment. But, keep in mind that the IFS tracks reports from every single match, and is capable of reviewing the logs within minutes of the game being finished. Under the old system, the Tribunal might have voted for a player to be punished based on one game's logs, but the Tribunal was often backlogged for months. A player could play hundreds of games in that time, and if they were consistently toxic, the IFS would have caught and punished them long before the Tribunal would have. That is why Riot implemented the IFS in the first place.
Another thing to keep in mind, the IFS has zero bias to it. There is no chance of it reading the full logs of the match, and thinking "weeeeeell, he was provoked, so I'll let it slide and not punish him this time." The IFS treats all players fairly and exactly the same; held to the exact same standards. If you've ever heard the saying "Justice is blind," that could very easily describe the IFS. It's completely impartial, to be as uniform as possible.
