PLEASE READ - I got hacked, email and password changed, Riot wont recover account

On Monday August 29th, 2016 ~3PM-4:40PM I am playing some normal games with my friend and after those games I go outside. When I come back home it is around ~6:20PM. I open up my League of Legends client and I enter my password in; "Login Error Invalid username/password combination. Please try again." I assume I just typed in my password wrong, so I type it in again and slower this time..."Login Error Invalid username/password combination. Please try again." Now I am starting to get worried because this means someone has gotten into my account. I immediately check my email to see if anyone has gotten into it; fortunately they didn't, I even checked my IP logs on my mail and they were all mine. Now I am sure that someone has recovered my account because it may have been brute-forced. I send Riot all my account recovery details (username, summoner name, first five champions, what I used refund tokens on, etc.) After 2 days of constantly checking na.op.gg http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Yika and asking my friends if to tell me if they see my account online I finally get a reply from Riot Games Support. [http://i.imgur.com/HcFruNn.png] They tell me that my info doesn't match the account in question!? Only I know where the account is signed in from on a daily basis, only I know my first purchases (I even have all my RP transaction IDs), I even know everything I used my 3 refund tokens on. Riot just took away my main account that means a lot to me, and they let the hacker recover it and wont let me recover it?

Please keep in mind that we only recover accounts to their creators" what do you mean? The creator only spends money on the game, why would the hacker spend any money on the game if the creator can recover it back? I don't understand Player Support and this is starting to get frustrating for me.

The person who hacked my account hasn't played a single game on the account and it has been inactive for 4 days. He/she could be trying to sell my account on eBay or something...

TL;DR My account gets hacked and recovered by some hacker, I try to recover it because I am real owner and Riot says my information does not match

Did you use this form? https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=72416

If you did, perhaps try responding to that ticket with asking what additional information would be needed in order to prove that you are indeed the original and sole owner of the account. I don't work in Player Support, so I wouldn't know the details myself other than what is in that request link, but what others have suggested here about screenshots of your transactions sounds like a grand idea.

Take screenshots of your emailed RP receipt (they should come from [email protected] ) and say you wouldn't have gotten the receipts if the account wasn't tied to your email. Emphasize again that you can't log into the account in question because of a recent password change, mentioning the date.

Well, I mean its win/win for them. If they don't recover it for you then they can get you to spend all that money on RP again. There really is no financial incentive for them to reinstate your account. Its the same for perma banning accounts for minor language violations. There is no downside to them. Either you don't come back and they can claim they are cleaning up the community or you make a new account and spend RP again for the same stuff they banned on your old account. Shady business but business just the same.

The downside for riot is it absolutely cripples their public image, If any company shows this little care for their customers they're simply not gonna see any purchases as their customers don't trust them to help you.

If they are not trolling on forums or harassing someone randomly they are sitting there playing some game their self. O that is because they are volunteer children. Children as in young.

Public image? Really? Haven't seen any concern of that from Riot so far. They seem to not care for their playerbase at all and simply are trying to milk all the money they can before this cash cow goes dry.

That actually really sucks. Spending all that time getting the ranks you wanted and then account gets hacked and riot wont even recover it. Sad.

I am the account creator and the account owner, the guy who hacked the account hasn't even played on the account which might mean he is trying to sell my account.

I checked the location history on gmail I am 100% sure someone else recovered my account. I even tried to do "Forgot Password?" and it didn't send to my email.

I would seek legal action against riot. Sometimes being to safe can lead to them breaking laws. You can sue and get the other party involved. The court would require Riot to release info on the hacker to testify in court (That info would be in the courts hands). You basically are forcing Riot to court and then have your attorney motion to bring in the other account user (Hacker) If the other person doesn't show up to court then you would win the case and riot would have to give you re account back. If you are in the US anything valued at $20 or more can be sued for. Also riot could refund the money you have spent on the account in civil court. If you're lawyer is good and knows what he is doing then he would be able to seek for money back if found that riot broke any laws. Remember when you are taking Riot to court they will summon there lawyer and or spokesperson. Trust me. legal action is your only way. I did that for my account valued at $800 dollars. Riot didn't recover the account but they had to pay back all those charges and i had every single transaction. Attorney took a % of the money and i was left with about $500 which is better then nothing. Riot is protecting the perceived account owner. If you seek legal action. they will have to summon the current creator of the account to court (hacker).
