so I've been in a game and jng was misplaying (bad ganks, when to be offensive and when not to be and so on.) top got tilted after he ganked like an idiot and called him "Trash" just simply opened chat and said "Trash" I honestly Feel like the jng was bad but kept it to myself. but in this situation could you get banned for calling someone Trash when he really is? because sometimes you really get the urge :/
You can absolutely get banned for calling someone trash. It's an insult, plain and simple.
It's important to remember that players have bad games, champions they're learning, and roles they're bad at. Additionally, 50% of any given player's games will be below their average performance -- which means that, statistically, half your team is having a "bad game" by their normal standards.
If you're matched with them, it means their average performance is close to yours, so think about that before you call anyone trash. We've all had bad lanes and bad ganks before, but that doesn't make a player "trash."
I can relate to the urge to call a trash player trash. I can't relate to actually acting upon that urge.
Picking a fight by insulting your teammates risks tilting that teammate and making them play even worse, or provoke them into inting, soft-inting, or otherwise trolling in retaliation. Plus, it's unfair to your other three teammates, since any damage you do to morale and team cohesion is completely out of their hands as they watch the unnecessary drama unfold.
Trash: Discarded matter, refuse.
Doesn't matter what the situation is, you don't call another player trash.
Do you call someone retarded to their face if they have down syndrome? Do you call strangers fat when they weigh 400 lbs (~190 kg)? Do you call someone ugly to their face when you think they are? Would you call a teammate in athletics trash if they screw up and let the opposing team score? If you answered no to these questions then the answer to your question in the OP should be obvious. Treat people in the game how you would in real life. Just because there is a screen between you doesn't make it any different.
