Some players want to watch the world burn... (Loss Prevention Idea)

Dear Riot,

I would like to bring something to your attention that I think you may have already heard before but I think needs to happen.

We need loss prevention for INTENTIONAL Feeders/AFKs and Trolls.

Before you say anything, I already know what you are thinking. "This can be abused" and if you use this excuse, then you are forsaking the community. We love this game. I love this game, and would love to take my skills to the next level within the next 2-4 years of practice and play. But there are players that would love to see to it that this never happens. Now I may admit that it's a very small setback to lose 1 out of every 10 or so games strictly because of something you cannot control such as an AFK player or someone who didn't get their role so they are going to try to troll pick or feed on purpose because something didn't go their way 10 mins into the game. But when some players lose a game because of an AFK/Intentional feeders, they start to question if they can climb or not. The human's instinctive selective biased will force them to think that the majority of their losses are due to those kind of players. This will turn into tilt and then they will play worse because their attitude is poor. And on some rare cases, they turn into the trolls themselves.

So in light of these points, I would like to propose something to you. A way to solve this problem entirely. And perhaps even solve the issue with abuse.

1. This will be specific to Solo Queue players*

I strongly feel that this is the best way to go. Simply because you can get 2-5 players together and try to abuse this by feeding on purpose in games that they think that they cannot win so they will try to bypass this loss by feeding and triggering the system to auto loss prevent them. Also, they can use this as a nifty way to not lose LP because a duo/trio didn't get their prime role and so one of them goes AFK and takes the loss and the rest of the team gets off easy. Similar to how dodging ranked champion select works. One person in a 5 man queue sacrifices 3LP for someone not getting their role/someone "troll" picking.

Now did you notice the little asterisk I put at the end of the title for this section?

This also means that this works in reverse effect. If a solo queue player were to feed on purpose and say you were queued up with 4 of your friends. The odds of your 4 friends convincing this solo queue player to feed on purpose for them to get them their free loss prevent because the game isn't going so well, are completely insane. Same would go for duo and trio queue teams; the odds of you convincing another solo/duo to feed on purpose/afk for the good of the team are pretty low. Most players will just respond with something along the lines of: "No, we can try to win. I don't want to risk getting banned AND lose LP because you want to try to cheat the system." And then those players will get reported and punished.

2. Nobody deserves to lose a game of League of Legends this way.

Now of course, I use the word deserve lightly. Sometimes, you make a ton of really bad mistakes and the enemy team punishes you. You may deserve to lose and shouldn't blame everyone else for your mistakes. Let me make myself crystal clear. I am not condoning players to blame their teams for poor play because they are entitled to win every game I am simply saying that nobody deserves an AFK or a Feeder on their team. And that Riot should take as much action as possible to prevent this from happening.

3. The chances of you winning a 4v5 are very low.

You may just say "Yeah, no, you should be able to carry a 4v5." Let's be honest, how often are players legitimately going to carry a 4v5. This probably happens 1 out of every 50 times this happens. I do not like this odds. Now it is possible for you to win a 4v5 but it just not very likely.

4. There are other ways this can be handled too.

Let me reference a MOBA that is fairly similar to League of Legends. Dota 2. Before you get all up in arms about being different from Dota and that you shouldn't try to mimic their game. They do a lot of things right that league doesn't do. For instance, you can micro another player. So if they go AFK, you can play their character for them and like put them in a lane by themselves and let them farm or whatever, or you can get super good at micro-ing that you just say "Hey guys, I can micro, we're fine" and then the game goes on. Granted, this is difficult but so is playing a 4v5. This will at least give players a chance. Of course, the AFK player will be punished but the chance is still there.

For those who care, please up-vote this so riot can see this and consider it.

Thanks for reading and I hope I hear back soon, Stockfish

P.S. Any commentary/critique will be taken with open arms and I will do my best to respond.

You lost me here: "1. This will be specific to Solo Queue players*"

Simply put, one rule set should apply to all ranked queues and matches for Summoners Rift. I can't think of a single good reason why solo queue should enjoy special conditions and LP prevention and group queues should not and continue to be open to getting screwed by griefers and losing LP for it.

We're six seasons in and ranked LP prevention from afk's/griefers has been suggested a billion times, odds aren't good Riot will budge on this although it would be nice.

You didn't actually give specific conditions for a loss prevention to take place. You just gave reasons why a loss prevention should be a thing, which Riot and everyone else already realizes. The problem is not deciding to do it, its finding a balance of how to do it.

Also, you might want to explain micro-ing more in depth to non Dota 2 players, because from my perspective it would be near impossible to cs and position in two different lanes as two different champions when the map has to be moved.

I like the micro aspect from Dota 2. Being a Starcraft player, I can handle 2 champs at a time.
