Hello everyone! Recently I had made a forum post because I had gotten permanently banned on my account. The ban was due to toxicity, how I feel as if I wasn't toxic (at least not enough to warrant a permanent ban) seeing as though I was recently banned before that for 2 weeks, so that might've been the reason of such a quick permanent ban.
On that forum post, I got many replies; different players giving their opinion on the matter and I'd just like to say a couple things.
First off, I want to thank you. As a community you've shown me that I do have some clear flaws I should work on going forward, I agree with a lot of what was told to me and honestly I didn't have much to say. I've tried being less toxic but it seems I'm still in the process of reforming. I admit the ban was my fault, I don't really think it was justified- however the fact is, I am responsible.
Secondly, with all the replies I got, I was able to evaluate not only how I interact with other players but myself as a person. Although it seemed as if a few players tried to argue with me (I can admit that I could've been a bit defensive during some replies) ultimately what they were saying, was right. As a player who was genuinely trying to start a new way of playing, I can admit that I have had this coming for a while. Do I think the recent ban was wrong? Yes, I think so given the circumstance and evidence used against me. But given my past behavior on League of Legends, I think my ban was a way of my actions finally catching up to me. Through this ban and the replies, I can say I've learned a lot.
Lastly, while I am a bit disappointed with this ban, I can't say I didn't have it coming. While I would like an un-ban on this account, I don't expect one. I've decided going forward I'll try to help players, instead of being sarcastic or mean towards them. I'll interact with players respectfully and if they happen to act toxic towards me, I'll definitely do my best to handle the situation calmly and maturely. I'll try my best to find an understanding with the player, and if that player is relentless- I'll mute them and proceed to quietly report them afterwards.
I would like to say thank you again, this may not be a big deal to some- but to me I was able to learn more about my flaws and am able to fix them. While I may not be perfect and there's a chance I might slip up, I'll definitely try my best to help keep this community in good standing.
