So I just saw that Riot is planning on improving Behavioral incentives

So I just saw that Riot is planning on improving behavioral incentives, based upon positive reinforcement. Thank you for hearing people like me, who have been spamming the forums about how punishment merely normalizes punishment, and that it takes positively reinforcing good behavior to improve the community.

I'm excited to see what you have in store, and I genuinely hope that you aren't stingy on the rewards. Titles are nice, but at the end of the day, they mostly get ignored. The better the rewards, the better people will behave in hopes of getting them. (And you'll see "Why I banned for saying the N bomb 40 times?" complaints turn into, 'why i not receive my reward, i tried to be good this week :(" threads)

(People will always complain, but at least the community will be all the better for it)

Once a proper reward system for good behavior is in place, the community will slowly but surely be a much nicer place.

Thanks Riot!

I'm genuinely glad to hear they are working on this. So far, it's nearly impossible to see how the toxicity could be improved upon, but I'm sure riot will have some solution. Any solution at this point is appreciated

Until such time as they have actual rewards for exemplary behavior, I don't believe they're truly serious about this.

I've kinda given up. Roughly 2/3 of every game I play, regardless of mode, has at least one flamer/troll/AFK/leaver. Ranked is even worse. Going from blind pick PUGs to Ranked placement was like stepping out of a construction site outhouse into an open sewer.

Hey Riot, do you want to create a Prime system like CSGO has? I will pay up to $20-30 a month if you give me an environment that is guaranteed to lack this behavior, when I can come home after work and just play the game with a team, not a sorta-team full of trolls.

They've been working on it for a while, the problem is that it isn't as easy as it sounds without creating something that can be abused or forgotten, like honor.
