I want an actual rioter to tell me that these comments are considered extreme toxicity.

Hey there,

Your account was given a two-week suspension and skipped the chat restrictions due to extreme toxicity. The use of homophobic slurs, racial slurs, telling others to kill themselves and hate speech is not tolerated. There is never a good reason to ever use these words. For you, we found the use of homophobic slurs.

[3:58] UnconsciousRage (Pantheon): you called me a %%% in select [4:23] UnconsciousRage (Pantheon): %%% [4:30] UnconsciousRage (Pantheon): you said yeah you %%%

Since the behavior went against the Summoner's Code, the decision to suspend this account for two weeks will not be changed. This is your first and final warning. Should ANY negative behavior continue, it will result in a permanent ban.

If you cant tell the context I am sure you have the power to look up the chat logs. I called somebody out for calling me a f6t in champ select because I thought they were duo with the troll in our game, yes an actual troll who was afk in bot brush playing rocket league. The trist said something like "i did not call you that" or something, to which i responded "you said, yeah you %%%." My acct that I have had since 2011 is blighted becasue i was having a conversation about the fcking troll rocket league playing mother fcker in my game and whether the adc who said i was a %%% and should just give up jungle for support was his duo. I am not fucking toxic in league games, i don't have time. I fucking ping and say gj because I come to play the fcking game and not BM ppl for doing bad. The only reason I even had time to chat is because my jungle did not play after he took my fcking role so the game was over.

I'm not a Rioter, but I can tell you that they have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on these words.

Whether or not you were correctly someone's spelling, think it's funny, use them with your friends and so figure it's okay or, yes, repeat what someone else said, zero tolerance means they are no acceptable in ANY context.

It's easy to say "you called me an inappropriate slur." There was no need to repeat it, so, while I sympathize (we see people get caught for this occasionally) the ban will almost certainly be upheld. If Riot makes exceptions people will start trying to exploit those exceptions.

You literally started your post with the support ticket in which an "actual Rioter" tells you your comments were considered extreme toxicity.

Here's a question.

Why did you try to escalate? Why didn't you just mute when you got to game?

Scary Door7/27/2017, 7:45:13 PM2 votes

Context is irrelevant.

You used language that you shouldn't have, why would you repeat what someone said if you knew it was inappropriate?

True to the name.

You should send a support ticket if you have questions and want a rioter to respond at some point.

I won't give you my opinion on the matter, since you don't entirely seem interested in what anybody else has to say.

I will say a few things I'm aware of: You don't get banned for saying, "Fuck fuck fuck!" You will always get flagged for "[six letter racial slur]"

Some bitch going on a power trip over the use of the "f" word cause apparently it's major hate speech in 2017

TrulyBland7/27/2017, 7:46:30 PM1 votes

I've always been against a pure word filter, and I'm against that even for hate speech. And I'm against it, for example, because of cases like this, where you are not banned for using the word, but merely for essentially referencing the word as it was used by another person. This is the classical language vs. meta language problem.

I agree that there really isn't any need for using the word, even in this case, but I really don't think it's appropriate to punish this kind of situation. Unnecessary isn't a sufficient condition for punishment, imo.

The only question for me is in what context you said the word at 4:23. I don't know if you recall that well enough to tell me whether it could have been mistaken for you using it as an insult or not... but either way, I do hope you get a red to comment on this or maybe get another support ticket to resolve the issue.

Sorry but there is a reason why there is a mute button. While it may not be available in champ select, it certainly is available in game. Use it...if someone is being an ass in champ select just mute them when the game comes. Report them after the game and you are golden. I honestly mute everyone in most of my ranked games. It saves the hassle of potentially getting into a confrontation with anyone. You can communicate just about everything you need with pings now.
