now before you say that the reward for being a reformed player is being able to play league of legends. I would say that is not the case. my idea for a reward is like a purple ribbon to show who is a changed player and who is a toxic player.
We should also give rewards to child molesters who no longer rape kids.
Why would you give a reward to a terrible person who insists they are no longer a terrible person? That's like saying "I didn't commit another felony today, so I should be rewarded."
Currently the reward is access to hextech crafting.
I'm on the same boat as others here. There's no need for a reward when you shouldn't be toxic in the first place. Besides, truly reformed players gain access to hextech and what not - systems they are unable to use without reforming.
i personally give reformed players an incentive to stay reformed. i pay them rp and if i find out in anyway shape or form that they begin to get toxic again i dont give them anything.
players who are genuinely nice in the community don't even unlock ribbons half the time because hardly anyone honors anymore, so i'd be a little salty if "reformed" players had a better chance to get one lol
The concern with giving rewards to reformed players is that it creates an environment where the 'ideal' (for the purpose of acquiring content) involves being toxic enough to get a punishment in the first place. Which is to say, create an even worse gaming experience.
Keep in mind though, Riot does offer end-of-season rewards to reformed players IN ADDITION to regular, unpunished players. And hextech crafting. And not being banned from the game. Sometimes summoner icons or small amounts of rp
currently none.
maybe later when tribunal 2.0 comes. thats farrrrr down the road though.
