So this thread has two points to it that i want to get across before reading the game chat and what had happened. My accounts name is "annie mid pref" ive been playing for about 2 years now, I have 114 skins, almost all champions, and am a passionate player that loves the game. Ive seriously spent thousands of dollars on this account, im saying that not to show how much i spent but to show how much i love the game. So here are my two points.

  1. This kind of talk was NOT every game, id gotten honored for teamwork alot of the games prior to it, it was a bad slip up on my part
  2. (And the biggest point) My chat was bad, but was it permanent ban bad honestly? I didnt intentionally feed which is much worse because it completely gives the other team the advantage, I didnt play with less effort or to help the other team win, I typed. I know it was a mistake, but my chat could easily be muted by someone not wanting to see it. If one of them had muted me, they wouldnt have even noticed me in a negative way, and I would have recollected myself after.

If you've read this far thankyou for your time, and if you want to see the chat that triggered the permanent ban look below. Have a nice day and my last words are.... rito pls.

The first thing to understand is the progression of punishments. To put it simply any violation of the TOS is grounds for a punishment, however players typically need to show consistent bad behaviour and be getting valid reports in order to eventually get a suspension. Punishments follow a tier system of 10 day chat ban, 25 day chat ban, 14 day suspension, and finally a permanent suspension. Actions such as homophobic, racial, or sexist comments, death threats, and cheating can result in skipping the lower tiers of punishment and receiving an automatic perma ban. Otherwise, players that continue to consistently do minor things that violate the TOS will progress along the punishment tiers with the system slowly getting more sensitive as the behaviour pattern is further developed.

So when it comes to getting a perma ban it doesn't really matter how big of a violation it was. What matters is does it technically violate the TOS, and has the player created a pattern of behaviour and moved up the punishment system at a consistent pace. If you have already received a 14 day suspension that makes the account sensitivity extremely high and requires fewer valid reports in order for the player to get suspended. The 3rd suspension is basically your last chance and a warning that the next time you even slightly step out of line you will get the account suspended.

From the chat log you posted I don't believe that you should have been permanently suspended. However, it still technically counts has harassing your teammates which is against the TOS. In addition, Riot generally includes more then one chatlog, and bare in mind that they are just a sample of the behaviour. So perhaps you have already received punishments and this was the last straw. Or you did something really bad in a past match and got immediately escalated.

If you need more info you can always contact Riot Support.

I find it unlikely that you only received a single game in your card. Are you sure there were no others? There have been quite a few other people on the board that only show a single game of chat, only for a Rioter to hop in and say that there were games that the player was hiding.

I know it was a mistake, but my chat could easily be muted by someone not wanting to see it. If one of them had muted me, they wouldnt have even noticed me in a negative way, and I would have recollected myself after. Tyler1 wasnt banned because of chat, but because he would intentionally throw games and troll people which is something i have never and will never do.

You are responsible for your own behavior. Muting is a tool that should only need to be used as a last resort. Tyler1 had plenty of bans, many of them WAS for verbal abuse.

Just Riot moderation losing it's shit because someone was anything less than Hunky-Dory during a game that is insanely stressful.

I avoid typing in chat as much as possible but I don't think what you said is bad enough for reporting or getting banned.

First off I want to say that no this isn't permaban worthy, as in if this is your first offense this should at least be chat restriction worthy. With that said I'm going to assume you were probably punished before (chat restriction and 14 day ban) if that is the case then sadly this is a legit punishment and the next tier after 14 day ban is the Permanant, you were on thin ice and you basically added fuel to the fire.

Now there are other things to talk about. Like others have said you should have gotten more than 1 game logs. Seeing how you only show one kind of points out that you have something to hide. Either that or you said things in post/pre game chat which doesn't show in the chatlogs so while it might be mild with the evidence you shown, it doesn't show us what actually happen.

I'm not even going to go into your points especially with giving tyler1 as an example is just pathetic if you truely believe he shouldn't have been ban, and at this point just kind of makes your topic just not to be taken seriously. It would be like giving Dunkey as an example.

"(And the biggest point) My chat was bad, but was it permanent ban bad honestly? I didnt intentionally feed which is much worse because it completely gives the other team the advantage"

No, intentionally feeding is not worse than flaming. Intentional feeding entire purpose is to attract attention and hurt players game progress. Entire purpose of flaming is to hurt someone personally.

You didnt get permanent ban for this. You got permanent ban because even after your last warning (14 days ban) you didnt reform. 14 days ban is technically Riot telling you "You are not welcome here anymore, your behavior is not acceptable, but we are willing to give you last chance, you are on thin ice now, ANY misstep will lead to permanent ban, no matter how big or smal lit is, no matter reason why it happened".

Why do you mention Tyler1? He had 19 accounts perma banned, for various reasons (yes even for chat). This latest thing was not perma account ban, but he isnt even allowed to make new account. Dont compare your case in ANY way to Tyler, you are allowed to make new account, he isnt.

You are so right about trying to chat as little as possible but I always find myself trying to talk, it was dumb of me, but I think the worst I shouldve gotten shouldve been permanent mute. That wouldve solved every issue

Yes, it was well-deserved.
