Can there be a mute pings option?

As if dealing with the toxicity in this game isn't enough, they can still spam ping for every mistake you make or, just to do it because they are toxic. It's just demoralizing...

I don't think you should be able to mute pings. I find that in most of my games I'm the one controlling the game through pings. I feel as if I keep my teammates from dying 10+ times a game and also get them kills just by pinging.

I ping towers, people take them, I ping baron, we get it and win the game.

If you could mute pings, every player would have less influence over the game.

Let's just say the feeder mutes my pings, then Instead of me carrying him through pings alone, he mutes them claims they're annoying, feeds harder, then loses a game that I could have won just by pinging.

So no, muting pings would be an awful idea because it would make carrying bad players exponentially harder.

I agree. I hate the games where I have a player who pings like 7 times for one thing. I ping two times usually a few seconds apart and a 3rd time if they aren't paying attention. For instance if I noticed the enemy jungler in our brush down bot and they go traveling up to mid I'll ping as soon as they leave my vision for mid to be alert and then as soon as they enter vision higher up the river as well.

There is a ping limit they can do before the game mutes their pings for a bit. As for pings, they're probably too important for Riot to ever implement a mute ping option.

Exactly, pings are way too important. Players respond far better to pings than text. You ping, they go. you type, they argue and flame.

If they make it to where you can mute pings, they'd just be toxic in chat.

If you muted them in chat they'd just follow you around getting you killed and flashing ctrl6.

Pings are the least toxic option, ping mute is a garbage idea.

yesterday i was playing a game, i believe i was vayne. i was clearing top so minions wouldn't kill our top inhib and my team decided to 4v5. i was to blame for this, of course. literally all four of the people on my team were pinging missing enemies on my head, danger, or for me to fall back. they continued this for about 5 minutes. very insulting seeing as i was trying to not let our top inhib become open and it was not my fault they engaged a 4v5.
