Double Jeapordy Rant - @Riot, acknowledge your mistake and fix it

Okay, last post. I'm not sure how often rules are changed, but for some reason riot refuses to acknowledge that what they did do me falls under double jeapordy. Long story short I was chat restricted for 10 games following 3 matches that I was 'toxic' (Although 2 of those matches I don't qualify as toxic whatsoever, but that's aside from the point) I ate up the 10 game chat restriction and played 3 games, I woke up the next day and played another 3 games. Keep in mind in EVERY SINGLE one of these games I did not type whatsoever. I don't feel the need to type if I'm chat restricted because I usually type in multiple sentences and need more room lol. After my 6th game into my chat restriction where I didn't type, honored players, etc. (changed my behaviour) I was banned. No email - no proof, nothing, just banned. I contacted riot support and this is what they said:

1st email: Greetings Summoner,

As a new initiative to reduce the amount of toxicity within League of Legends, we’ve recently begun to audit players’ accounts for extreme cases of toxic behavior. Every account punished by this system was personally reviewed by someone at Riot to ensure accuracy.

After having reviewed your account, the decision to issue a 14-day suspension was made due to the extreme cases of toxicity we found, which included verbal toxicity, intentional feeding / griefing, being uncooperative with your teams. This type of toxic behavior has no place in League of Legends, and we will continue to punish players who exhibit this behavior.

Do keep in mind that suspensions are issued on 24-hour cycles; this means your suspension will be lifted at the same time of day it was issued. This will be within an hour or two of the time you received your suspension.

(He says I intentionally fed because I played a bad game and when the opponent pushed our nexus I sold my items and bought six tears, didn't even charge them, just bought them, literally lasted about 5 seconds, could've undone, and by the way I didn't even get reported that game, that's just the audit he managed to pull up, either way, I never typed that I wanted to or was looking forward to throwing matches at any point, ever, but apparantly I did. Either way this is aside from the main issue).

2nd email: I can understand the confusion here, but must reiterate that this suspension was manually done. So, as this suspension was placed soon after the chat restrictions were received, it is likely the Rioter chose to escalate this case due to the negativity they found. In my own audit I found some sample logs which happened to not be included with the chat restrictions. Overall, manual audits like these can overide action from the Instant Feedback system, and has led to this action being taken.

'soon after' is 1-2 days. Some of the games he pointed out took place 4 days ago 'escalate this case': This is exactly what double jeapordy is. I thought Riot wasn't allowed to do that? 'sample logs which happened to not be included with the chat restrictions': Sorry, these games were from days or weeks ago, I didn't even get REPORTED for these games, and either way, this was long before my chat restriction so what point is he trying to make? Here's a pathetic attempt to try to prove his point from the 'logs' he found that were 'toxic' but I didn't get reported: [1:44] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): mb was afk [2:14] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): wus low [2:18] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): they might have stolr ue red [2:35] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): o [5:42] [All] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): greeeeeed [5:49] [All] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): I'll getcha back bud:) [9:58] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): he lane ganked [9:59] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): lame [10:23] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): meanwhile wu is getting stomped [13:49] [All] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): lol wut [13:59] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): 2 top [14:00] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): get mid [15:07] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): wu no summs [16:53] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): fukk [16:57] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): fizz is so annoying [18:25] [All] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): yummy hits [20:10] [All] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): yawn [20:11] [All] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): ez win [22:36] [All] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): yw [22:52] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): game too ez gotta givem something [22:55] destroyer178 (Tryndamere): feel me? toxic???????? This game was 2 days before the chat restriction.

Riot seems to literally be going after people for no particular reason here.

3rd email: Hey Summoner,

We have already explained the context for your suspension. We will not be removing the punishment and consider this matter closed.

Even after I linked him this boards post: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/pNwvt4x2-riots-system-is-flawed-banned-while-chat-and-ranked-restricted-double-jeopardy-punishment-part-2

Where a summoner was involved in the EXACT same situation as me (Although he seemed to be a little more toxic) He was unbanned, and I still sit here unable to access my account for 2 weeks. Where's the justice in this system? Does it really make sense to punish me for an incident, and then punish me for the same incident 1-4 days later, after I already played games and improved my behaviour. This is unfair, and this is my last rant on the boards to try and get my point across and see what you guys think. Has anyone been through this before? What is the verdict here: Assuming I'm telling the truth, am I right? wrong? in certain cases? How do I fix this. I hope you don't jump to conclusions right away and someone is able to help me. Thanks!

It isn't really double jeopardy. The manual audit would have overriden the other punishment regardless of what it was. So in that sense it is more of an appeal* (With the admitted difference, that you already started serving the punishment). [*Edit: Could have sworn "Revision" is the proper term, but I improperly translated it from German.]

But I've already said this in another thread of yours that doesn't exist any longer. One that, btw, involved more chatlogs than you post here. One chatlog in particular that, while aimed at a friend according to you, involved something that can be considered a homophobic remark.

Edit: Also, the case you cited also didn't get their ban overturned. They got "unbanned" because they served the full time.

Riot doesn't abide by the U.S. Justice System, because Riot is a business, and your account is -their- property, so they can chatban you for 5000 games in a row and you can do nothing to combat it. If you got a chatban, timeban, or any sort of disciplinary action, you deserved it, and complaining about U.S. laws won't help you.

Of coarse I included more in the other post, I wanted to make this one short and just include a snippet that the rioters gave me to prove that I was 'toxic'. In this case I only showed the one that I didn't think was toxic by any means whatsoever. I also keep making posts because I really am pissed off at the whole situation, I take breaks from the game come back, rules have changed, and I'd just like to say that and I'm sorry if I say a slur to my friend jokingly and someone's offended by it, then they're a pussy, period. They could have asked me not to say it or w/e but no, in this game Riot encourages that whenever you see someone who offends you, report them right away, don't try to solve the issue like regular human beings. It bothers me, it really does. It's the only game on the planet with that kind of mindset and in my opinion is the reason why toxicity is so alive in this game. It's because people who whine and throw games get a free pass while the people who get pissed at them don't. Also I did read the case fully and realized that you are right, his ban wasn't overturned. I'm just overall mad at the situation. If you think about it, I got punished, I was serving my punishment, changing my behaviour. and then got punished for the same thing, this time an even bigger punishment, how does that make me want to change my behaviour? Seriously, the first punishment was way more than enough, it's the first time I've ever been in trouble with the game and they hit me HARD, the next time I even get reported 3/5 games I get PERMED. How is this fair? I'm extremely disappointed that this is what this game has come to and it just doesn't make me want to come back, sorry for the rant, sorry for the repetetive threads.

I don't see any double jeopardy. you don't need words to griefing / refusing to co-operate, and is just as toxic as verbal toxicity.
