This guys is a booster

Played a game where this guy was quite obviously smurfing. I'm not a huge fan of low elo smurfing but whatever but in the post game he told us he was a booster and offered to boost any of us that wanted in. I don't really care about boosting but I know some people really get mad at this so here ya go.

Also just curious what does Riot do to these people? It seems like its a little more popular then it should be.

Boosting results in a loss of all Ranked rewards for that season and prior seasons along with a 14 day ban, and a permanent ban the second time. If you come across someone offering boosting services you can submit screenshots in a Support Ticket under the request type I have a question and the category Game & Features::General Questions.

Sometimes they get perm banned, sometimes they get 14 day and lose all season rewards and be ineligible for the next one too (I think).

End of season is coming. It's more popular because people looking to get gold for the victorious skin.

I mean honestly with so many people who have nothing better to do but play ranked to lose and watch teamates get mad, why wouldnt people use boost to get higher elo where people actually care about their lp. gold and under people just f with you and contribute to the ban accounts for dumb reasons to make money market of riot. Meaning ban accounts for things they shouldnt reallly be banned for that way a good percent keeps remaking accounts and rebuying skins. not even that alot of people are bad people or immature, its just the system to those of you who have been banned. corrupt system at that.
