I'm starting to get annoyed with the banning system

I just played an ARAM game and Riven (I'm not 100% sure it was riven but I will just assume it was) wanted to trade with Sona, however Sona did not accept the trade. Apparently Riven bargained to give a skin boost for the trade but Sona didn't accept the trade whilst not saying anything (she's Sona). As a result, this triggered Riven to announce that she was going to intentionally feed and two others (who I am 99% sure were her premade) announced in chat SEVERAL TIMES that they were going to intentionally feed.

And in the game they did just that. To be fair they didn't just run in, they were rushing in and using their abilities, however it was clearly intentional feeding as they just stood in the middle of their team and would dive through 5 of them (including towerdiving). They also continuously talked in all chat about how they were intentionally feeding.

At the end of the game I reported all three of them for intentionally feeding, and to my suprise over an hour later I got no notification that they were punished. I have no idea how they didn't since they constantly were giving evidence in the chat that they were intentionally feeding, but they didn't. Riot please [zombie-nunu-bummed]

not justifying them just stating from one game its nearly impossible to be banned for intentional feeding...

all you can do is report and hope (cuz they are assclowns they will do it again ) that others report and it flags a review and then punishes them

plus its an ARAM game its really hard to tell a intentional feeder in an ARAM game where all the KDAs are so skewed compared to a regular game on SR

Actually it can, it's just difficult for the system to determine without a doubt that it was intentional (IFS doesn't parse lobby chat after all), and one game of reports is unlikely to trigger a review even in the event the system could catch it.

Feeding in any gamemode isn't acceptable even if its just for fun. There is a fine line between just messing around and ruining the fun and angering everyone else playing.

Intentional feeding bans require at least some human review; the bot isn't good enough to compare chat to gameplay and be sure that a declaration of an intent to feed was carried out.

As such, you will probably not receive a notification along the lines of "a player you recently reported has been punished". IF that single game is even enough for a punishment (it probably should be, though).

I was under the impression that they don't use human review anymore and only rely on the bot, am I mistaken?

Bots aren't sophisticated enough to examine gameplay and determine if excessive deaths is the result of extremely poor play or actually deliberate feeding. Heck, most people can't be 100% certain if a given death is caused by an accident/misplay/poor positioning, or deliberately throwing one's self to the enemy.

Given that, the bot can't be allowed to handle punishments for feeding entirely unsupervised. Perhaps they only check random samples, same as they do for chat punishments, or perhaps they review ALL bans for feeding, but there's definitely some level of human moderation.

The IFS absolutely does handle intentional feeding cases on its own, and I'd like to request a source of Riot saying otherwise.

Your statements seem to be saying that the system cannot judge intentional feeding reports without human review, not that some cases are manually reviewed.

I suppose it could be interpreted that way. I intentionally left it fairly open-ended because I didn't know for sure, but apparently not quite enough.

You're not mistaken. Riot still does random reviews to ensure accuracy and investigates fringe cases, but otherwise it's entirely automated. The Instant Feedback System handles even intentional feeding and hands out permabans on its own. Manual review is not required, but is still used randomly to ensure system accuracy and for fringe cases.

Bots mainly handly chat issues. You can program them to crack down on "known phrases" for lack of a better definition. Game play....not so much
