The report system and the worst thing to have on your team.

The question we have to ask ourselves is, what is the worst things we could possibly have on our team? A flamer is definitely a bad thing to have, especially when they spend more time typing than focusing, but is it worse than the person who says absolutely nothing all game? The person who feeds all game? The person who doesn't listen to a single word or ping their team puts out there? Not a chance. I would rather a flamer than a feeder any day especially someone who is unwilling to learn from their mistakes. If anything, one might argue that this is how the flaming begins, a player becomes frustrated and thinks nothing else will get through to the individual they are playing with.

When it comes to the report system, I am all for reporting people who grief, or reporting people who are insulting and give up at 5 minutes etc. But we have to come to terms with the issue of trolls. There is no way to actually report a troll as of right now. Unless they declare that they are feeding and you can provide video footage of them doing so, it is impossible. It is impossible to report someone who camps out in the jungle for 40 minutes of the game. It is impossible to report someone who intentionally goes into a lane and farms while your nexus is being taken. It is impossible to report someone who feeds 11 kills at 5 minutes, but might not be doing so by turret diving but pretending to make an effort by using a couple skills and then dying.

We need to resolve this issue and change the tribunal from a children's moderation service to a real game-support system. Please let me know what you all think.

Yes, because unless they admit to it, it's extremely hard to prove they are intentionally trolling.

If someone plays badly they aren't trolling....

What's wrong with having a children's moderation service ON TOP of real game-support system? We have the IFS that scan for chat toxicity as well as trying its best to detect intentional feeder. The keyword is "intent".
