Riot is actually taking this way too far.

I have a feeling this will get taken down, but that is exactly why I decided to make this post. What is this obsession with Tyler1. Why is riot going so far to punish this guy. Before you start saying how toxic he was and how he deserved it; take a look at what he has done recently.

If any of you who detest him so much would take time to watch any of his streams he ALWAYS brings up his ban, and he ALWAYS advocates for being "reformed". Any time someone brags about int'ing on his stream he says not to do it, he is making every stride possible to become a better player. It has now been over a year that he can't even play the game he loves the most because Riot has gone out of their way to ban any account associated with his IP. He has resorted to binge-playing League where he creates an account and plays for 60 hours consecutively knowing any minute could be his last.

In his last session he managed to keep this account for longer than any other, yet to no surprise another ban right after he achieved Masters rank. In my opinion this has gone way too far, I can't see how crucifying one toxic player and constantly making an example out of him makes Riot look good. In fact, his desperation to reform and show good behavior should be a perfect opportunity for Riot to capitalize on their system. They took the absolute worst(best) example of a toxic player and followed up on their ban system, now the thought of displaying toxic behavior in a game of League makes him shudder knowing the consequences - which is the purpose of the system. You can never change a person, you can change how they behave in your game though, which Riot has done.

Tyler1 has more than repented for his behavior in game. He has done everything to show his regret, he has reached out to Riot, he has displayed good behavior in his Youtube videos, he advocates it to his viewers. What more purpose does making him the pariah of League of Legends do.. it only makes Riot look petty and childish holding a grudge over a 20 year old who has done everything to show they see the mistakes of their behavior. I think it's been long overdue - free Tyler1.

edit -- To add on to this, due to the overlap of content between posts. Most people are bringing up his excessive amount of accounts banned. Yes, this is nothing to make excuses for. He knew what he was doing. I'm not saying he should be exempted from his behaviors like nothing happened.

To look at it closer though, once one account is banned, there is no other "compounding punishment" that makes it feel any different than the last. In his mind it was "damn, one banned? oh well, I can make another". Again, not making excuses on his behalf, but there is a diminishing value on seeing "account banned" after a while I'm sure.

Again, not advocating for total amnesty and having the slate wiped clean. I know he earned where he is through his toxic behavior. I know he had 20+ accounts banned (also due to the IP ban). But if any of you actually watched his content(which I'm 99.9% sure most of you don't based off the responses I've gotten) you'd see the pain in his face when League gets brought up. The guy is hurting, and wanting to undo what he's done to the community. Why can't we give him one final ultimatum to try, It couldn't hurt.

Well, repercussions are repercussions in my opinion. He brought himself to the point that he did, and I have no remorse for the measures taken against him and the impact that those repercussions that he brought upon himself have.

If it takes the extremity that it took to reform Tyler1, the repercussions have to be real, otherwise what is the point? What's the lesson? "Oh I can be tyler1 asshole level, and just show for a few months that I'm redeemed. Then BAM, get my account back and it's right back to the tyler1 asshole level again because repercussions don't mater.".

He's done far worse to others collectively than he is getting now in my opinion.

Jesus Christ if they unbanned him imagine how many toxic players will demand their accounts back. This a setup for disaster.
