For the record, AD atk speed/crit soraka works and is hella fun to play.
Also league was better then it was now. Yes now there are easier ways to find builds and get advice but it shouldn't change people in games from being helpful, since recommended doesn't always work, to people that everyone mutes because all they yell in all chat is how the one player is "trolling" as they learn new champs. As league stands now it's near impossible to get into a game and have fun and not have to mute someone. There's always one that spams pings, spams in chat, and if they get pissy enough they'll start feeding themselves or spam the ff vote.
When it comes to ranked I know Eon and I can be gold or higher if we truly wanted to push for it, and there wouldn't be to much pushing needed if we decided to play ranked again. However not everyone in ranked games take things seriously. it might as well be a normal game half the time because people just don't care. Give Eon and I a serious, but still fun, team and I would bet we'd win a majority of the time while still maintaining a fun factor of which is missing out of nearly every game in nearly every format available. It's sad that now and days people have to have a 5 man team already made to even have a little bit of fun.
I'm sure there's more that I could include and want to include but I just can't think of it right now. However if something comes up down the line and I feel like adding it I will.
