Perma Banned account wrongly went straight to perma ban.

Hi, Have been playing on and off since early 2015. ~2 weeks ago, I was in a game with someone who spammed racial slurs into our chat. I asked the other team to report, and quoted this summoner. I was issued a 14-day ban because I had quoted the summoner. I opened a ticket, and support removed the ban, set my honor back to 2, and said it's like it never happened, but to be smarter going forward. Earlier today I was issued a permanent ban on my main account. Here's the logs for what happened.

I know this isn't acceptable behavior, but isn't there a punishment tier that I work up to before perma-ban? Given that my 14-day was reversed, this is the first punishment I've gotten on this account. It doesn't seem in line with what typically occurs for my first punishment to be a permanent ban. And compared to what I've gotten in game, my logs are pretty tame. Not saying I don't deserve a punishment, but I certainly don't feel like this is worthy of an instant perma.

Submit another ticket - if they manually removed the last ban they may not have also reset the account standing.

If what you're saying is true, you probably shouldn't get a permanent ban off the bat.

Sometimes Rioters will pop by. Hopefully you can get it resolved.

On another note, you really do need to improve that behavior. It's rude, annoying, and just plain unnecessary.

100% agree. Already set up a perma-disable for my enter key in game. Riot says many games are played with no chat, just have to learn to play without chatting. 9 times out of 10 I'm not toxic/flaming, but the 1/10 certainly isn't fair to my team. Hate seeing it happen to anyone, just tough to keep a lid on it sometimes.

if this is true then yea u dont need to be banned.

but you dont have to copy and paste or type in chat to every one what the player is saying in order for him to be reported or banned. nor ask for reports.

you can report him. others on your team most likely did as well. and you could submit a support ticket explaining for them to look into the game so it brings it to their attention

Honestly, I didn't even report the shyv. That's one thing that got me upset. I realized towards the end of the game that it might just be a less knowledgable/new player, and just kept my mouth shut. Still perma'd because a duo reported.

but the chat function is an automated system that looks for key words and phrases and you typed those in chat

that is what it saw and that is why it banned you...

i understand you were just trying to let the other team know. but asking for reports is also a punishable offense as well.

so you did two things wrong here. was it your intention to be the toxic person? no ...

all you can do is await the response of the support ticket ... best of luck

If you read my OP, I'm not trying to argue my innocence. I am in the wrong. However, I wrongly skipped a punishment tier. That's what my post is about.

Also, I think you're misunderstanding the situation. The instance where I quoted the offending summoner has already been taken care of, and the ban was removed. My next punishment should be a 14 day. Not a perma.

you dont have to have a smaller punishment just cuz they have a tier system of punishment. based on what you did they can move it directly to perma ban

its not just the 1 phrase its also the other constant flaming and shit talking to your team... in addition to the hate speech.

and then you tell a team mate F@#K YOU

then another game arguing and flaming team telling every one you are reporting them just creating a toxic environment for every one in game

Please learn the difference between "idiot, dumb, stupid" and hate speech. Hate speech is derogatory towards a group of people based on gender, sexual orientation, race, or another protected class.

what legal counts as hate speech in terms of law and what riot considers are two different things.

riot is a private entity who you agree to TOS and this person clearly violated it in not 1 but 3 game and was punished accordingly

he deserved and earned his perma ban to defend anything this person did makes you just as bad

Riot considers hate speech the same as the law does.

Idiot, dumb, fucker, asshole, etc. are not considered hate speech by Riot. Toxic, yes, hate speech, no.

There's only one instance of hate speech in that log (autistic), and the logs are not egregious use of hate speech that would merit an instant permanent ban.

Considering OP had their prior punishment removed, and claims to have never had a chat restriction before, their account should be a clean slate and this should be a 14 day ban for first offense.

The amount of reports doesn't matter and neither does the fact that it's from a duo. One is enough. But hey, it's cool that you're trying to do better and you certainly shouldn't be permabanned if your previous punishment was reversed. I'm sure the support will sort this out.

Riot games thieving money from kids since season 4. Since they don't stop you from making another account that's all these bans are is thieving money from players. How aggrssive the permanent banning has been latley Tencent just wants some easy money since nobody in their right mind would ever want to start playing this game now. Make the game dumber and dumber so babies can play and permanently ban players who have been around and they know will just make another account. Riots solution for toxic just makes people more toxic honestly
