In game moderators?

Riot is like REALLY bad police

People don't do stuff in public because they fear the police

In League, people are toxic all the time because they don't fear Riot, who probably only ban less than 1% of all offenders. Only because no one can ever check them since there's not enough time

My solution? In game moderators.

Sounds bad, but hear me out.

In order to be an in-game moderator, you have to

  • Have honor 5
  • Have 0 strikes against your account, or haven't received any punishments within 2-3 years
  • Be playing for at least 3 years
  • Be at least 18 years old probably with proof either of a picture or even an ID or birth certificate(It has something to do with the fact that children tend to get angered easier than adults, something with how the brain is undeveloped and gets angrier easier)
  • (I feel like there should be more, but can't think of any)

To be promoted to a higher level of moderator, you need to

  • Have been a moderator for at least 2 years
  • Receive a recommendation from a rioter (Can be acquired by asking on boards, probably by having a lot of up votes you can get from people who are grateful for your work)
  • Have a resume of people you've caught, and etc.

But anyways, what do you do when there isn't enough police? You hire more.

An in-game moderator will mark high priority targets for Rioters and higher level moderators to ban

To apply to be a moderator, I have an idea. You'll sign up for it like PBE, then wait for your application to be received by a rioter.

let's see... at least 1 million games played a day.

Assume 35 minute games, that means around 28.5k games played simultaneously at any given time.

How many in-game mods do you need? If you pay them $1 per game, that's $1million gone per day. So in-game mods is not really a financially feasible option.

Instead, what you need is this.

I think Riots doing a fine job in terms of catching people. I just believe they should put more fear on permabans before people get them. But again their system works.
