Is it true you instantly get a 14 day ban for saying "kys"?
I've seen threads about people telling others to kill themselves and they get instantly banned. Is that true?

It's not always INSTANT (the system isn't perfect), but yes -- encouraging self-harm is up there with hate speech as far as Riot's zero-tolerance policies go.
Yes, it's a 0 tolerance policy trigger.
I have reported some ppl that said kys and not all of them got punished, so its fake
i've yet to see evidence to the contrary but in my experience, you need to say at least two slurs in 1 game to get banned
i've reported many people who only say "nig g er" or "k y s" once over the whole game and nothing happens to them
I've had someone say "kys" in one of my games when some other guy was acting toxic towards them. Obviously I've reported them both for their behaviour. Looking at the "kys" guy's match history however, he has played some games a couple of hours ago and the incident happened 3 days ago so I'm not sure whether it's an "insta-14 days" or not.
I'm pretty sure if someone actually did commit suicide from being told to "KYS" in game it would open Riot up to litigation for facilitating suicide by not properly punishing or preventing those who encourage self-harm in game. That's definitely a big part of why Riot has a zero tolerance policy on things like "KYS"
Only a slight/low chance the system might overlook it. But majority of the time, it will detect. Best don't do it if you don't want to be banned.
Takes a few minutes fir the report to kick in but yeah.
