Genuine Advice how to deal with players that are Toxic/troll and refuse to play the game properly.

Hello I've been playing this game off and on for about 2-3 years. At first it was fun but now it has been draining. I am in bronze (please no insults, thats where I got placed), and I'll have several good games. I understand that I won't win them all, and have worked on getting better at the game as a whole. I give constructive criticism when needed, and take it as well.

But what can we as a community do about toxic people? I mean besides muting them in game, I'm talking about people who; run down mid lane and feed because they died once or twice, or those who trash talk their team for a bad play? I get that everyone gets upset sometimes but this goes beyond angry. Another example is going into a game and banning your teammates picks just to do it.

I don't know what to do but this is a team game and its really hard to rank up when someone is constantly trying to sabotage others. Is there anything that truly can be done besides reporting?

First of all -- there is absolutely nothing wrong with being in bronze. At the end of the day this is a game and anyone who gives you lip about being at that level is a completely pathetic individual.

Unfortunately, you'll never be able to completely stop the trolling that happens in game but there is a couple things you can do. The easiest one to start is for your second issue -- don't hover over your pick. The only contested champion you play is Galio which will take a few weeks for people to stop banning them (sometimes they aren't toxic they just don't want people to play a new champion in ranked).

For your first issue of intentionally feeding the only thing you can really do is not be a part of the reason for them to do so. Dying and losing is already frustrating as it is and it really isn't helpful when your teammates try to make comments even when they think those comments are helpful like "play defensive." On the other hand, something along the lines of "he sucks at team fights you'll outscale/destroy him later" or "I'll roam to your lane as soon as I can" makes people feel better and can prevent them from feeding and trolling but it'll never work 100% of the time.

As long as RIOT allows it there is nothing we can do about it. They are afraid to do anything meaningful because they would lose too much green. What RIOT does give us are Band-Aids that obviously don't do a damn thing to curb the problems.
